FireTVs cheap for a REASON!

Amazon is focused on fillimg your menu with ads… get used to it! Trying to sell you stuff, or more subscription services. 2) the TV tuner is low quality as this is not deemed important in a TV to amazon and insignia - it is always 2 seconds behind the live briadcast and it requires a super-strong signal. My other non-smart TVs never lose signals but my FireTv always does. 3) it randomly SHUTS OFF or goes to the menu screen or the screensaver after being on more than 2 hours. This is BEYOND aggravating. Updating to latest OS and firmware has no effect as this is designed as a throwaway TV you will need to replace in a few years. 4) the idea of Amazon monitoring everything you do on your TV is disturbing. 5) you cannot replace the OS with a simpler intuitive one very easily, there are replacements out there (Wolfpak) but even those dont work well with such an underpowered TV - though wolfpak does remove the constant barrage of amazon advertising!!! Avoid FireTv’s like the plague. Save up more money and get a better TV. You will thank me later.
