I wanted to like this product.....but I'm upgrading my current laptop to get away form the loud fans and the cooling issues. If this machine better optimized performance to where the fans and cooling mechanisms ran smoothly....purchasing this would've been a no brainer.

The system was awesome but for one major drawback, overheating and reason for 3 stars only. The system was fast, beautiful screen and resolution. I really liked it a lot but think Asus rushed this out without proper testing because it overheated during updates. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and kept for a couple more days but did not get better. Always ran hot when using for basic and local actions. Copies of files from one folder to another brought interior temp to 95 degrees and shut down once 96 degrees was reached. Could not use this way and had to return for another brand.

First off, the elephant in the reviews: YES, it has 8 gig soldered and 8 gig on a SODIMM stick. YES, this means that above 16 gig of ram you're limited to single channel. NO, this does not mean you can't install a larger stick, and NO, doing so does not make it all run in single channel. NO it will not noticeably slow down the laptop if you do. In every other way the machine is completely solid. Currently running two M.2 drives, screen is actually a little better than the 11th gen model, keyboard is nice, and Asus bloatware in services is typically annoying. Machine runs decently fast, if a bit loud, but I haven't once seen it push over 90c, which for those who don't know better, is positively ARCTIC for a modern processor [intel OR AMD] They pulled the fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello, which seems to work better than I'm used to, and I've had no issues running my 6900XT through my eGPU. But there is ONE weird thing about this machine, and the 11th gen I had for about a week had the same issues: The USB A ports are oddly tight.... I was afraid I had the WiFi dongle for my mouse upside down at first.

Everything is amazing; to design, screen quality, cpu and GPU performance, crazy freshrate. The only problem I have with this device is how hot it can get. I have it set to “performance” in the armory crate game control. If you’re going to do none gaming, I suggest you turn the settings to “windows” for the meantime, even if you’re downloading games from steam, it’s not necessary for you to go full max on your laptop. Other than that, this laptop is a charm. Maybe drop the price to $1700 instead?

Best performance laptop. Didn’t tegret buying it. I like how simple the design is. The laptop is fast and reliable!

Well, I will say it’s a great laptop for this price range. But the performance of 3070ti is limited by the low power PDU. So if you plan to play many triple A titles on this laptop, I will not recommend, Strix or legion pro might be better options. Also, the fan is really loud in performance mode.

This laptop is beast plain and simple. It is an absolute steal at 1399.99. You wont find anything else at this price for it packs. 3070ti (yes its 120w max but it still powerful). 16x10 beautiful screen. Thin and light. Obviously there are more powerful 3070ti laptops but at the cost of being heavier and bulkier. This i perfect for being mobile work/gaming

I finally got a chance to really push this laptop. I was using it for 3d graphic design and cad work for milling and 3d printing. That is absolutely no problem for this machine. I decided to push it to run genshin impact and warfare. At full specs for both games this unit ran them without breaking a sweat. I am do glad i picked this machine! I have nothing to complain about screen, keyboard, speed all perfection

Great laptop for occasional gaming. Bought this for my wife to play World of Warcraft on no issues. Be aware though that the CPU runs hot so fan noise is louder than what you would expect but a good laptop fan base stand is an absolute must. Overall I would recommend this for gamers who play smaller leads frequent sessions.

Wanted to love it but couldn't. Pros, amazing bright screen, great build quality, solid keyboard, light weight, price is amazing for the components. Cons, #1 issue and why I returned it, the fans are ridiculously loud even for a gaming machine. I'm guessing they have to be for the slim chassis but it's super loud which you need to push the 3070 ti but competitors don't get this loud. You'll need ANC headphones to drown them out. The surfaces get hot, but that's tolerable given there components. Another con, the 3070 ti is very good just not great because of the form factor you'll need a 3080ti/3080 in this machine for max graphics. On turbo it's almost there though, with the wind tunnel noise.

Hey ... this machine is everything I wanted. It is fast, graphics are tremendous and it is so simple to use. When surfing news articles and other info, it is just click and you are there. No lag, no slag = happy me. Best Buy has always been a good provider for me for the past 20 years. I just keep coming back. The Super Geeks are friendly, personable and unbelievably smart. Very beefy laptop. A bit loud but it’s super fast and awesome graphics. No complaints.

Needed an upgrade PC to replace my old laptop and this unit is plentiful. I was actually looking for the 4000 series unit but it was not in store it had to be ordered I was in a rush and waiting was not ideal. So Taking the 3000 series was still a big upgrade from my old GTXm950 and no waiting I walked out of the store with the new pc. I do light gaming and alot of media consumption of tv and movies.

Love this laptop Has some fantastic performance and its sleek and looks great My only gripe is the battery life compared to the g15 due to its more power hungry i9 But otherwise it's great. Display is also top notch, can't go back to 16:9 anymore :)

This computer is insanely powerful. It can run any game or program will relative ease. For the price you won't get any better. However, my only compliant and the reason I returned it was because of the battery life. I'm aware with a system this powerful that's what you have to expect. But I wanted to be hopeful and have a powerful computer for college. Nope! 1 hour and a half just browsing the web. But still very nice and well built

Super fast computer, got it on sale and plays all the games at full spec.

The laptop has state of the art performance, capable of handling even the most demanding game titles without any hassle. The battery life is also stellar as long as you tweak the power plan. My only concern is the exhaust air directed at the display. Asus engineers and their display manufacturer both vouch for their product's durability and longevity, so I will try not to worry unnecessarily.
