Runs a bit hot but i love it. You can find optimized settings online on YouTube or Reddit. Worth it if there’s a sale. I got mine for around 1100

The laptop is great here are my positive and negative reviews, along with various fixes: Positives: 1. The laptop is quite fast for all my work and STEM software (many of which requires windows platform) The trackpad is large and has good palm rejection. The clicks seem to be sensitive away from the corners 2. The typing experience is great (when not hot! - see negative review). The keys feel better than the previous g14 models and the white keys make the letters much more legible than the previous silver. 3. Comes with little background software and does not bog your computer down with bloatware 4. Really bright screen with good contrast. I can switch it to 0% brightness in the evening and during the day I can work comfortably with just 40%. Negatives: 1. Really Hot keyboard: The laptop keyboard gets really hot (hurts your fingers) as the CPU temperature went up to +70C when I first started up the laptop. Even on idle the temperature didn't drop. I solved the problem by running on Silent mode (see Armory Crate). Then go to Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings, and change the power restriction to the CPU to min 5% and max 90%. I also switched to "Eco mode" and turned off "Panel Overdrive" in Armory Crate. Now my temperature is around 50C for general work tasks. For most work tasks I prefer to run my CPU at lower power (and hence lower speed) while running it in silent mode (see Asus armory crate). I prefer not to hear the fan, so these settings are perfect for most tasks. 2. Screen Flicker when connecting power cable: Whenever the power cable is removed or attached, the screen flickers off and on again, similar to the video "ASUS ROG Laptop bizarre black screen issue" on YouTube. My wife has the 2020 model and it did not have this problem. 3. Flashing/flickering red light for facial recognition (near camera module): The face recognition sensor keeps flashing the red LED when in the lock screen, which is really annoying. I would have preferred ASUS used an IR LED instead of visible red light. You can turn off Windows Hello to avoid the red flashing light, but will lose facial recognition capability. 4. Keyboard LED panel periodically flickers during Sleep mode: You can solve this issue by going to the armory crate, under Device > System > Lighting > Sleep (off). But after restarting, it was toggled on again. 5. No adaptive brightness capability. You need to manually change brightness. 6. White paint longevity: Although it looks great new, I am a bit concerned about the longevity of the white paint, I did notice some pin holes in the paint. That is not a problem for me. But I am concerned if over time the paint will show signs of wear and tear. Summary: Overall most of the negatives could be fixed with tweaking, or with a software patch from ASUS, with the exception of the red light instead of IR for facial recognition. Overwhelmingly this is a great laptop and an improvement from previous generations (which were already good laptops), especially regarding the brighter screen and keyboard with better typing experience.

This is the best laptop I’ve ever owned. It’s fast and the graphics are clean. I’m able to play my games with no issues.

It ran awesome for the first few weeks I had, though it ran a little warm. However, it eventually got stuck on a reboot loop and I had to send it in to get repaired.

Got it for $1000. Amazing deal. Just lower the CPU voltage if you want your laptop to run cooler than stock. Can get hot when running AAA games.

Other than heat radiating from the GPU/CPU, I can't be happier with this product. It runs all my games at 100+ fps on high/ultra settings.

Great device for day to day use. Only complaint is that boosted performance is on by default and was needed to be tweaked in settings. Also battery life leaves more to be desired

It took 3 times to get a good one however was with the hassle. The all new Asus ROG 14 2022 model is a sleek and refined gaming laptop with enough punch to keep you gaming for hours. The one drawback is the amount of light bleed and dead pixels I have encountered between 3 units. The third one seems to be the charm. No detectable light bleed and no dead pixels. It’s a shame that the manufacturer oh process doesn’t catch this before the consumer gets a hold of this awesome laptop. The 2022 model ups the ante with an all AMD solution combining the AMD 6900HS processor with the Radeon RX 6700S with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Don’t forget the 6900HS is packing the all new RDA2 680M integrated graphics that more than gets the job done. The speaker placement has bee improved as well as the upward facing speakers are above the keyboard now for clearing miss and highs. The down firing woofers are just as good as last years model if not better producing the low bass frequencies. Make sure RGE to ho into the Dolby Atmos App and choose Dynamic profile to get the best sound out of the speakers. Overall I am very impressed so far with the all new Asus ROG 14 for 2022. Oh did I mention the laptop now has a webcam with Windows IR Hello Support for fast logins. It also has 16GB of DDR5 4800MHZ Ram for fast fluent processing. The NVMe 1 TB SSD is a Micron 2450 that is adequate for getting the job done however the speeds are half of a true Gen 4 PCIe SSD. Not sure why Asus went this route. The drive is replaceable if you do desire to get better read and write speeds. Average reads and writes are about 3400 / 3200 mbs. Not bad however not Gen 4 as indicated. The white exterior is unique and definitely fancy. Just hope it holds up over time and dies not discolor.

Love this laptop, very easy to carry around with me as I travel a lot and very light weight for a heavy duty gaming rig!

Excellent buy at open box price of $840. Brighter than many other gaming laptops more expensive, runs almost all games smoothly.
