Great laptop

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this laptop for a month or so, and have found it eqcellent in daily use. I've seen that some reviewers comment on the fan blowing into the screen, but haven't found that to be an issue in my use so far. Fan noise can be loud, but can be controlled with the software. Unfortunately, I haven't had great success with Linux distros, as many drivers aren't supported, but in Windows, it works quite well. I'm not a fan of the Mediatech wireless card in longer-range tests, but close to the router, the card is excellent and I've seen speeds exceed 1.2 GBPS. Laptop is fast, responsive, graphics are good, audio is pretty decent. The only issue I've encountered, and mayn own't run into this unless they use screen readers, the Asus software doesn't play well with most screen readers. It can be used, but it has its challenges.

That's it. Everything else, perfection

Pressure

Was planning on buying a gaming pc but my laptop for school broke so I tried to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Thing isn't bulky and looks like something you can actually bring with you in public. 10/10

Bright screen, great chassis, poor AMD drivers

Will buy again asus laptop as I love this screen with 500 nits but going nvidia as much as I hate the price, you get what you pay for.

After just 3 years it Broke! Buyer Beware!

I do not recommend this computer. It is unreliable! It should have lasted longer. I took good care of it and it failed and at the worse time too!

Bad battery

It works completely fine when it’s plugged in, but when I unplug it, the system just randomly restarts out of no where. I tried redownloaded the OS and fixing it through BIOS, but it just keeps restarting.

ASUS ROG Worst Computer on the Market

Network card went out within 15 days of ownership, took it Best Buy and it was working again so went home. 2 weeks later it stops working again. This was a present for my wife who works from home and the computer performance cost her job. Of course, Best Buy won't do anything unless you pay $200 or more for warranty since in America it is ok to sell products that don't work. I believe they will help us send it back to ASUS for their warranty. I tried to spend enough money to get quality and instead we got crap. Now off to Best Buy to stand in line with everyone else who bought crap from them.

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, the network adapter not working after 10 days of ownership is a random problem. Before sending the laptop in for warranty service, please check if the laptop is running with the most current WLAN driver version and Windows is up to date. Verify if the laptop has access to a working router or access point and it is getting excellent signal since unstable and poor internet connection will cause the network device not to work properly.
ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage. Would not recommend, too much of a hassle

There would always be a new thing wrong with it, first it was some battery issue, next it was the fans, and now the motherboard was found to be broken. I would not recommend this to anybody. Get another brand because this Asus ‘gaming laptop’ does not last. I would mainly use this computer for school and entertainment and even then it still managed to break.

Broken Screen

The laptop runs smoothly and does not have an outrageously loud or hot fan system. This is however seems to be only good with games. I got the laptop recently and was having a great time until i tried using youtube. Half way into watching the youtube video the laptop screen turned off. I could only turn off my laptop to get the screen to start working again. I read every tutorial on how to fix this issue and nothing seemed to work. I do not know if I can get this fixed so in the mean time I will be looking for a different laptop. Like I said though it is amazing for gaming. If you are only going to play video games I would recommend this.
