Do not buy, overpriced work Laptop

Do not buy this for any type of gaming. The fans do not cool it down, even on max settings. I can’t count how many times this laptop has crashed on me while playing games on Low settings. It gets so hot if you touch towards the top near the screen it can literally burn your finger. Do not buy this.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if it didn't meet your expectations.
Regarding your concern on the laptop getting hot, it is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially while gaming. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please verify that no resource hungry applications, processes or services are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature and may cause system crash or performance issue. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Sad, stuttering mess.

I will be returning my 3rd one in the morning. My issue with my first one was a terrible coil/fan whine AND terrible stuttering/freezing while gaming. So I exchanged it. My 2nd one also had the terrible stutter/freeze issue and also ran above 95C just while browsing and watching youtube. This time i did researching and made sure all of my drivers were up to date and installed correctly. Still no fix. So i returned it for my 3rd one. And what do you know? Still the same terrible stuttering issue while gaming. Ive tried reinstalling windows, disabling game bar, fresh installing gpu drivers, different games, power settings, resolutions, using the integrated gpu only. You name it ive done it. I believe its due to ftpm causing issues with the amd cpu. But there is no fix. And the latest amd bios (313) also did nothing to fix it and you cannot disable tpm. So, unless someone has a fix for this, because Asus and AMD didnt when i called them both. It is a 1/5 review because it’s basically half a the laptop I expected to buy since gaming is out of the question.

The laptop is meh…

Didnt have really too many quality control issues like other people. But now im getting all kinds if system errors, random reboots, boot loops, etc. I have the white one and the case where your palm sits is getting discolored from playing games. It does play most games at a very nice FPS so no complaints there. Id recommend it but just try to find it on sale or something and dont fall for the Ani-Matrix gimmick

Missing Components

Unfortunately my son didn’t realize what the problem was until after the warranty expired. Best Buy refused to replace the product even though the problem was missing parts not a part failure.

ASUS G14 R9 6700S 14" WQXGA Laptop

Keyboard stopped working! Brought it to geek squad for repair. I brought this laptop for my son as a graduation gift for college. Now he has no computer for the start of 2nd year. I never had an issue with any other computer in 20 years. I hope they can fix or replace for a reasonable price.

Very nice notebook sized labtop
