The only issue is volume level. It is highly variable (much more so than the unit it replaced) and some streaming services require very high settings (in the 70s) while others are loud enough in the 20s and 30s, There is also a disconnect, music is louder than dialog in many cases, but I'm pretty sure that's a setting (i.e., me) issue.

The only thing I don’t like on this speaker is that it is too base sounding. I had to turn the woofer nearly off in order for it to sound normal. Otherwise it is a decent speaker.

Specifically got Samsung because I have a Samsung tv and assumed they would work together. They really don’t. I can get the bar to turn on with the tv remote and control the volume, but about twice a day the tv will revert from the digital connection back to the tv sound. Frustrating process to swap it back. I do not have it connected via hdmi perhaps that would be better. As far as sound….it’s okay. Not a huge upgrade from the tv. Will go louder though.

Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-B650 soundbar.
Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will provide the best audio and user experience.
First connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI Arc port and the other to the HDMI OUT (TV-ARC) port on the soundbar.
Next, change the source of your soundbar to the D.IN. setting.
After a few seconds, “TV ARC” will appear on the soundbar’s display.
Here are some tips to optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.
By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.
Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.
