Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the WH1000XM5. We're glad that you like the noise canceling function of the headphones. Your feedback about the battery life and controls is greatly appreciated. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

When you wear the headset, Auto NC Optimizer function always automatically optimizes the noise canceling performance by analyzing the wearing condition of the headset according to the shape of your face and your hairstyle, or the presence or absence of glasses, and the pressure change in an airplane, etc. There is no need for the wearer to press a button or use the touch sensor control panel to use this function. Because the noise canceling performance is automatically optimized by the Auto NC Optimizer function according to changes in the wearing condition and usage environment, you may notice fluctuations in the noise canceling effect.
