From what I can tell it works as expected. I’d hoped for a dramatic reduction in allergies, but I haven’t really noticed a huge difference

Don’t waste your money on this garbage. After one week the sensor went out and stayed at 0, returned it for another one and after 2 weeks it did the same thing. Total waste of time and money

Suddenly dropped to 0% and stopped doing anything worthwhile. Been less than a month. Was consistently at 100% prior. Seems to be defective. Will be returning.

Trash. It stopped working about 5 months after I bought it. I started going into the red then would drop down to yellow and ramp back to red. I contacted shark support and got 0 help. Waste of money. I bought this one and another version and both are acting the same way.

It’s quiet, that was one of the most important features. I like clean air too.

Pro: -Quiet on low to medium speed -Powerful enough for bigger rooms -Display Con: -No remote This is a nice compact yet powerful air purifier. It looks nice and fits well into my room. It runs quiet at low to mid settings. At max, while not excessively loud, it is loud enough to be disruptive. In a 200 sq ft room, low was enough to keep the room smelling nice. It’s supposed to be strong enough for up to 500 sq ft, but it’ll likely have to be run at max. It would have been better if there was a remote to turn it on, but it’s recommended to leave it on in auto mode anyway. The color display looks good and nicely designed. The front has a large display and, by default, shows your air quality with corresponding colors. The top has touch buttons for info, dimming, timer, filter life, and child lock along with the power setting. Pressing the Info button will cycle through the different types of particles detected and how long it’ll take to clean the air. The purifier will automatically detect the air quality and adjust its power accordingly. Once it detects that the air is clean, it will go into Eco mode. While testing, it did a good job of detecting the air quality. When it detected a bit of dust, it started up and the number dropped by a few. During cooking, it kicked into high and displayed red and yellow with the number in the 70-80 range. The filter life may be a bit short. I left it on auto for a week, mostly running at minimum setting and it’s already down to 98%. The filter is supposed to last 8-12 months, and replacements will cost $70 each.

This review is for the Shark Air Purifier with True HEPA, Microban Antimicrobial filter. I am a Best Buy Tech Insider member and I received this product for review. It is 15inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. The pros of this Air Purifier is that is a nice attractive design, it's size allows it to be placed nearly anywhere, it is extremely quiet and the filter is easy to remove and replace. No glaring cons , but read on. It has a nice digital readout that will show the air quality in general or it can be set to display the relative concentration of fine, bacterial and large particles. In auto setting it will adjust the fan speed as needed to reduce the pollutants in the air to a safe level. You can manually set the fan speed to run a constant speed if desired. It reacts quickly to any pollution. It detected dust and aerosols immediately when I spread them in it's immediate vicinity and then increased the fan speed to maximum until it tested the air as clean. It has a round filter that is approximately 8 inches long. It draws air in the bottom louvers and exhausts through the top. The filter is not washable. It has a filter cleaning setting that I didn't try. You should be able to vacuum the outer part of the filter. My impression is that although it is really quiet when set on auto and it is detecting the air quality as good, the low speed of the fan isn't really moving much air. I have two cats and when I inspected the filter after 5 days of use, I really couldn't see any cat hair, so I set the fan to 3/4 speed, which is louder, but acceptable and moves a lot more air. It's small size probably relegates it to use in smaller rooms, but it's small size facilitates being able to use multiple units and place them in discrete locations. My concern is filter replacement. I can't find a replacement filter anywhere on the web for it. This is same problem that I had with a floor standing Sharp air filter that I received from Best Buy. To this day there is no filter that fits it. Filters for my Sharp model are offered, but they are not the right size. I have concerns that this may be a Best Buy specific item and replacement filters will not be available. Best Buy needs to assure customers that filters are available. So filter replacement availability not withstanding, I would recommend this Shark Air Purifier, as long as you confine it to the advertised space that it is designed for.

The Shark Air Purifier with True HEPA, Microban Antimicrobial provides amazing results for those needing help cleaning your home or office air and ensuring that you are not just getting a claim of clean, but that you can smell the difference! Intuitive, innovative, user-friendly, and just plain works as designed! I found Shark to be the answer to the issue in one of our bedrooms. We had a kid move back in from their musty apartment complex and found we had a smell that could not be found and cleared. I was skeptical that this unit could do anything about it, but tried many things including deep-cleaning the room and furniture with no results. The Shark plugged in and took over. Within a few hours the room was noticeably less smelly. After 2 days the smell was gone. The display on the unit is nice and helpful to see where you start and when you end with 100% clean. The first room I tried it in show 98% clean. 5 minutes later it was at 100%. The room in question showed 91% clean when we started. It is now 100% and the room smells great. PROS - Shark name, brand, and innovation - Easy to set up and use - Large display with easy to use and understand controls - Plug and play design (remove the inner package around the filter first) - Does what it claims! CONS - None at this time

I have a Honeywell and a Winix at home. They both work pretty well but I needed another unit. I saw this had good reviews so I bought it. It was waste of money. It’s completely useless. It SOMETIMES picks up on odors but it doesn’t “cleans” the air at all. I moved my Winix to another room and replaced it with this one. I have since noticed more dust and dog hair in that room even though I have it running on high all day, everyday. Meanwhile, the room that the Winix is now in, is a lot cleaner.

I'm in Los Angeles where there are fires happening right now. I thought I would be fine because I had bought this air purifier. I woke up feeling really sick and achy, and yet this purifier is showing 90%+ purified air. A similar thing happened when I first moved into my renovated apartment, I think i was reacting to the paint, and this purifier didn't help. I think it doesn't work on chemicals. Also, I tried to look up air filter replacements. Sold out on their website, but I can buy them on 3rd party websites for 1/2 the cost of a new purifier. Very scamy.
