The sound is excellent with the optical cable, but I wish it was consistent with the others and connected to the TV through the ARC input.

Great Start to Sonos Ecosystem

If you want to control it with your TV remote make sure your TV remote does infrared, not Bluetooth or radio frequency.

Great for a bedroom surround sound experience

The Ray is setup as a surround system in our primary bedroom along with two Ones. Setup was easy (Optical connection instead of HDMI like the Arcs) and the sound is fantastic. Perfect for a bedroom setting and far superior to the television speakers.

Good sound but not meant for bigger screen tv

Bought attachment for the tv that was suggested when you buy it, but did not fit an 85" tv so that was annoying. No remote control comes with it and you have to use your phone to engage the Sonos. You cannot pair it with Xfinity remote either which is also annoying.

Sonos Ray…Amazing!

After more research, I decided to get my feet wet in the Sonos family with the Ray. It goes without saying that I should have done this years ago. It has exceeded my expectations on every level and blows everything else out of the water that is anywhere near its price range. Absolutely Amazing!

Small speaker, big sound.

This was a no-brainer because of it’s compact size and having other Sonos products, made me confident in buying it. It throws a pretty wide soundstage. I had some surrounds but disconnected them because the stereo effects are good enough. Using the Sub-mini is the icing!
