sorry information on how to tune
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.a waste of time and money. I bought this speaker 30 days ago. it cannot be tuned. I asked the Best Buy geek to tune it, he knew how to connect it but could no properly tune it to my Sony TV. I tried but dialog sounds like it's in a barrel and I'm being overwhelmed with pounding bass.

Posted .Hello,
While most TVs are compatible with Sonos home theater speakers, some may need additional configuration or may not work with Sonos. Here are some basic requirements when using Sonos speakers with your TV.
If you do not see some of the ports of menu options mentioned below, consult your TV or external source device’s manual or manufacturer support for help.
TV requirements
Ray, Playbar, and Playbase require a TV with a digital optical audio output.
I hope this helps.

Don’t do it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The idea that I must use the app to change the volume is frankly absurd. Now the app crashes when you open it!

Posted .I’m truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the Sonos Ray. Having to rely on an app that isn't functioning properly, especially for something as basic as adjusting the volume, is definitely not the experience we want for you.
To address the issue:
Remote Control: The Sonos Ray is designed to work with your TV's remote control, so you shouldn’t need the app for volume control. If the remote isn’t paired correctly, try going into the Sonos app, navigating to “Settings” > “System” > “Remote Control Setup,” and follow the prompts to pair your TV remote.
App Crashing: If the app is crashing, try updating it to the latest version, as updates often fix bugs. If you’re already on the latest version, uninstalling and reinstalling the app can sometimes resolve these issues.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work through these technical issues. If these steps don’t resolve the problem, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at support.sonos.com for further assistance. We want to ensure you have a seamless and enjoyable experience with your Sonos Ray.

Sonos Soundbar Review

Unit not suited for a medium sized room. It does not put out enough volume. I returned to Best Buy for a different unit.

Posted .It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your Sonos Ray to your TV. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Connection Ports:
The Sonos Ray should connect to your TV via an optical audio cable. Ensure that your TV has an optical audio output port (often labeled "Optical" or "Digital Audio Out"). If your TV doesn't have this port, you might need a different soundbar or an adapter to connect.
Verify the Optical Cable Connection:
Ensure the optical cable is securely plugged into both the Sonos Ray and the TV. The cable should click into place.
Select the Correct Input:
On your TV, go to the audio settings and make sure the audio output is set to "Optical" or "Digital Audio Out" rather than the TV's internal speakers.TV Compatibility:
Verify that your TV's optical output settings are compatible with the Sonos Ray. Some TVs have settings for audio formats that might need adjustment.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be helpful to consult the Sonos support website at support.sonos.com or contact their customer service for further assistance.
I hope this addresses your concern!
