It's no wonder NYT Wirecutter recommends this item; it's a great little speaker for the money. Great sound, excellent battery life. We're using 1 speaker with multiple iPads and it was basically plug and play. Nice design and easy to use. We ordered online and picked up the same day from a local Best Buy. Very smooth and easy process. Very happy with this purchase.

I had up until fairly recently an early example of a UE miniboom portable speaker, and that thing lasted for over a decade. So I have few concerns about the potential longevity of this product with that history in mind. These have come quite a long ways in that 10+ years, but surprisingly in a few ways not so much. First off what people generally buy these for: sound. It sounds pretty good, but is sorely lacking in bass compared to both its ancestor and other contemporaries I have tried. Other than the bass however it is nice and clean, no distortion problems and everything is very clear. It produces a lot for its size as well. As is practically obligatory for small bluetooth speakers these days, it can be paired with another like it for stereo sound although I have not tried that feature as I only have the one. Right out of the box it had a sticker on the top of it that indicated what the 3 buttons do but beyond my comprehension the device itself does not have any clear markings for what those buttons are. So if you don’t know already, good luck figuring it out which is frustrating. The top button is for Bluetooth, the middle one is play/pause, and the bottom one is power but again no way to know it from the device itself. As far as power goes it will last a good long time, I have yet to even charge it since I got it. And that’s another thing I find crazy, is that it charged with micro usb instead of usb-c. The decade old speaker used micro usb as well and here we are still going old school. So it sounds pretty good, but rocks an old charging solution and has no markings on the buttons. So I don’t know if I can say it’s the greatest but definitely not bad. Maybe wait for a sale on it.

This was a terrible experience with this product. I’m disgusted by it all and expected better. This speaker is not worth the cost.

Great product. The small portable size is great how it basically is the size of fat ceramic coffee mug. It really has outstanding sound especially in the mid-range. It is kind of the Apple Air Pods Pro of baby speakers. Bass is quite good for its size. It sounds great on all my favorite classic rock mp4s that are on my laptop. I use it for classical, jazz, classic rock, and pop. Everything is great.

Worst UE product that I have purcharsed. Very distorted for music and podcasts.

It was really nice an loud at first. Now it half as loud as i need it to be.

We are fans of Ultimate Ears products having another one of their products, and were quite happy to get our hands on this little beauty. This thing is great! It is ultra portable and has a big sound for such a little speaker. Out of the box, there isn't much to it. The speaker and a usb charging cable is what you get, but that's all you need! After charging it up, we were ready to use it. We were really surprised at how much we used this thing. The best part about the Wonderboom 3 is the quality of sound you get with such tremendous portability. No big clunky speaker to lug around or constantly repairing to a different speaker when moving to another area of the house. It took all of 3 seconds for me to clip a caribeaner to it and clip it to my jeans as I worked around the house. My wife thought it was rather handy too and does the same thing when she is out working in her greenhouse. It is so nifty and convenient. I am going to have to buy another one because if I am not using it, my wife is and vice versa. Other features that are surprisingly convenient are the ability to pair 2 devices at the same time and the ability to pair another Wonderboom 3 to it! I love hijacking my wife's music. I try to do it in between songs to see if she notices, lol! All in all, this is a great little speaker and we are definitely putting it to good use. I highly recommend.

Dead on Arrival. Never even turned on. Never took a charge.

When at a loud volume, it is full of static noise.

This is a minor improvement on the great Wonderboom 2, and one that we didn't find value in upgrading. This was returned as it actually introduced more connectivity issues than improved.

This is another great product from Ultimate Ears. The sound clarity of the treble is superb, and the bass is deep and rich. I have a Wonderboom 2, and it is still going strong after three years, but this new model seems a bit more powerful. I have heard the sound from the taller Boom 2, and this newer model has a much better bass. Do not hesitate to get this speaker. The sound quality is quite satisfying.

This is a great blue tooth speaker very loud. You can hear the word crystal cleand it was just right for the price.
