Sleek, intuitive design, lacking privacy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Shokz OpenRun Pro bluetooth headphones have a lot of great features and design but lacks in a couple areas that make this a limited use product. Out of the box, these headphones are flexible, very light weight, and easy to operate. They recommend using the Shokz app for connecting and adjustments or updates. The app offers 2 options for an equalizer. One for music and one for voice. The headphones come in a nice hard case with form fitting on the bottom for the headphones to sit into. The top inside of the case has an elastic band used to store the charging cable, albeit does not come with the actual wall plug. With the headphones and charging cable, the case is still light and easy to carry. It is not small enough to fit in a pocket so it would have to go in a backpack or another type of carry bag. The charging cable for the headphones is magnetic so it is easy to attach to the headphones. It is a lighter magnet so it can also come undone easily too. The other end is usb. The cord overall is very thin and flimsy and is just about 2ft. in length. When charging, a light on the charger side of the headphones will come on red. Once charged the light will switch to blue. Charging seems pretty quick. Battery life is pretty good. Fitment on the head is subjective and will change for every person. There is only one solid band to put around your head so comfort level will vary. It is more on the small side so fitment on a larger head is somewhat uncomfortable after about 20 minutes. Again, quite subjective to each owner. With that being said, the band does fit well over the ears and very little to no movement when shaking your head or facing the sky or ground. The biggest part of these headphones is the audio quality and the privacy associated with this style of headphone. The open ear design and the use of bone resonance is supposed to allow you to listen to music or take a phone call while keeping your ears open for ambient enviromental noise. Unfortunately the mix still washes out any type of enviromental noise and its hard to hear anyone while listening to music that is sitting even a couple feet away. There is a good tone on the highs and some mid, but is heavily lacking everywhere else. The headphones vibrate on bass parts but don't put out any. The quality of the equalizer mix would be equal to listening to anything 70's and earlier before bass was getting pumped into music regularly. Mainly like rock or jazz type music. There is a lot to be desired. The second part is the privacy aspect. There is none. The privacy on these headphones is equivalent to wearing old school flat discman headphones that just sat on the outside of the ear. Even on medium volume levels, people were able to hear the music playing on my headphones and conversations I was having taking on the phone. These headphones are well suited for being out in the open and where there are not a lot of people in close vicinity. I guess since it's called "OpenRun". The bluetooth on the phone works well and phone calls come across clear on both ends. The toggle button is easy to use and the quick guide shows all the tap commands. It has a separate volume button on the bottom side, while the toggle button is on the side. The power button is toggled into the volume control. Overall, I feel there is improvement that could be done, but for a purpose built headphone, it does a pretty good job. Hard to recommend if you are wanting something for heavier usage.

Open-Ear Audio Perfect for Active Lifestyles
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenRun Pro delivers impressive bass and clarity through bone conduction, ensuring situational awareness during workouts. Its lightweight, sweat-resistant design and secure fit make it ideal for runners and cyclists. While not as bass-rich as in-ear models, it offers a comfortable, open-ear experience for active users.

My new best friend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying if price is your worry then these are worth the investment. I made the initial mistake of getting the regular size one and they did stick out the back of my head a bit and bumped my collar shirts so I returned them sad not knowing there is a MINI version of them. What wraps around the ear is the same but the wrap around is shorter and what a difference!!. I wear them all the time and no issues. I can still take them off and put them around my neck without them falling off which was my concern getting the MINI version. These are water proof so it helps if they go through a washing machine you should be fine but I would avoid it if possible. Battery life is great and a few minutes give you a lot of talk time. You can find chargers cheap online and I have one in every car, at work, home, and one in my backpack for emergencies so I am always good. As far music goes these are pretty awesome but higher volumes will make the Pro's vibrate and can be uncomfortable. (they were for me) but if you need music that loud then these are NOT for you and should invest in another earpiece that will suit your needs. You are able to pair to 2 devices at the same time and it's perfect for my work phone as an addition. If there is no rush I'd wait until a cyber deal or special comes out and save a few bucks but not me, my friends have them and thats how I got to try them. I suggest going to Best Buy and trying them on as most have them on display but be sure to ask if they have both sizes to see what is best for you.

Shokz Conduction Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the conduction headphones much better than the in-ear type. This brand is easy to use, works well, and most of the time I don't even know I have it on. Does not fall off. Also, it recharges quickly and lasts the full day.

100% love them
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We absolutely love our new Shokz openrun pros. We had the ORIGINAL AfterShokz and after many years it was finally time to upgrade to something new. After owning my OG shokz for so long and wearing them daily I knew this was the onky brand I would be buying so I got the latest release and absolutely LOVE them just as much as my old ones. They are comfy, I can hear everything around me yet still talk on my phone or listen to my music while being aware of my surroundings. The sound is absolutely amazing l. The battery life is great and they are super easy to connect to your phone. I highly recommend if you are thinking about getting a pair of these DO IT!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

A great gift
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I purchased these for my mom as a gift, but I still had to check them out since I am at work conferences a lot. The color is beautiful and the lok attractive, they have a matte finish which makes them look very professional. Sound: The sound is pretty good. Only on the highest volume I could hear a bit of crackling, but I mean who wants to always max out the sound. I was surprised people around you won’t hear what you’re listening to. Fit: So they are very flexible around the ear and adjustable. My only struggle was that the loop that goes around your head/neck was too big. So if I wanted to lean on my work chair I could not do it without noticing the headphones. They have a smaller size though, which I did not know of this when I got them. It’d be great if they were adjustable. Calls: nothing to complain, I think it is great because you can still hear your surroundings. Specially, if you are in a work area where you’d like to hear yourself when talking on the phone. If you are in an environment that is very loud it will be hard to hear even at max volume. Another point to highlight the headphones do not catch every single noise around you, so people on the other side could you clearly. I did not use them for exercising at all, so I wouldn’t know how the behave there. Connectivity: Was very easy and quick. It is also possible to switch devices without it getting hung up or anything. One to to highlight was that is that because they are on you ear they help with reducing ear inflammation like the in ear headphones give. Overall, I think they are a great purchase especially if you’re working from home. I would recommend to people and just suggest to check they size.

Kinda weird, but pretty cool!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Several coworkers have started rocking these, so I decided to grab a pair. First thing I noticed was how odd it felt listening to music on these things. Deep bass seems to really rattle the jaw. After adjusting, however, these are probably on track to be in my top 5 wireless audio devices. The sound is a little quiet, but given how they work, that was expected. Expect to run these a bit louder than you would over-ear or earbud style devices. Call quality is great. Crystal clear and easy to hear and be heard. Again, somewhat low, so run them a bit louder than average. Dual device hook up! Once paired with a smartphone and setup through the Shokz app, you can pair these with two devices at once. Especially helpful, as I have a work cell and my personal. Calls will ring in from either phone and connect. You can also pair them to a bluetooth enabled computer and use them as a desk headset. Arguably my favorite feature here! After a full 10+ hour day coming off a full charge, I was seeing battery remaining at around 75-85 percent. This was with on and off music, phone calls, and changing paring between multiple devices.

Great alternative to blocking my ears
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first experience with bone conduction and I love it. These are perfect for wearing at home when I'm listening to something but still want to be able to hear my wife calling me or the doorbell ringing. The sound quality is also great on phone calls. I'm also prone to sinus infections, so I like not having my ears stopped up. I still use an in-ear set at the gym.

These are really neat. Sound quality: excellent. Fit: excellent. Battery life: excellent. They don't slide around while im moving. You can hear music/audiobooks and your surrounds without sacrificing quality. I would buy them again.

Surprisingly Great
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm hard on tech, I seem to always find issue with some design decision or another, quality problem, or software nonsense. So far I can't find anything of consequence to gripe about. The sound is surprisingly great and on par or even slightly better than my Galaxy Buds Live, I can hear whats going on in my environment while still hearing my music well, the microphone is surprisingly good for calls, I dont have to remove or adjust them to talk to people face to face, and I dont get the stuffy feeling that I get from ANC buds. Battery life is incredible and they dont look bad. But the really nice cherry on top is that they are ALL DAY COMFORTABLE. Ive never been able to say that about headphones before, even with the super comfortable Galaxy Buds Live. I do wish they had the same funtions as my Buds Live like the ability to read aloud my notifications, but aside from that my only other complaint is that I didnt find these years ago.

Excellent for athletes, otherwise not as much
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For athletes these are one of the best options available. There is a lot to like here. There is literally no risk of losing your buds. They're comfortable and fit well. You can hear and enjoy the music. Battery life is good. When they're connected they're connected. And it does allow you to hear oncoming traffic and your surroundings. If you work out, this is for you. I knock them down a star because they're not loud enough (although that may be by design) even in relatively quiet environs. The sound quality also is not the best, it could be better. They use a proprietary charger which, while not hard to find online, is proprietary nonetheless. Also I had problems with the microphone in calls more than a few times. And mowing the lawn they couldn't out power the mower. Even if you're an athlete, these are factors to consider. If you're an athlete or work out a lot this is one of the very best options out there. If not, look elsewhere.

My go to all day headphone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are everything. I was searching for something that has good noise cancelling but really was looking for something that had a good transparency mode because I use these headsets for work. I've tried air pods pro, Samsung Galaxy buds pro, Sony xm4's, and the Boseqiuet comfort buds 2. The Shokz are my most used. I only use the Bose when I cut the grass. I wear the Shokz everyday all day at work and I love them. It's great to be able to leave them on while talking with coworkers but also be able to answer a phone call. You can watch videos or listen to music and still be aware of your surroundings. My wife is a runner and loves them because she can hear traffic and ambient noise while still listening to music. The sound quality is not as good as the other buds mentioned above but it is good enough for what I use them for. They are comfortable and last all day. Definitely recommend.
