We use Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+, Pluto TV and Tubi TV on a regular basis in the bedroom, a non-smart tv. This Roku works fine if you don't need the convenience to control the volume or turn the tv on and off.

I got tired of moving my PS4 from my bedroom to my living room and this has worked great

Then after 2 weeks it displayed a message that I needed to plug it into the wall because my TV wasn't generating enough power. Mind you I had just previously been using a Roku device on this same TV without any issues.

We have a great old plasma TV that we love. It obviously doesn't have the ability to load apps, so the ROKU was perfect.

The alternative was to have them run old fashioned wire through my new home or purchase Ruku sticks for our TVS. We went w/the sticks.
