That probably is a deal breaker for a lot of people.

The only new Roku devices available are the HD Roku Express and non-plus(+) models that typically come with a Simple Remote. Better than buying $300 TV

Only complaint it does tend to freeze sometimes and kicks you out of a app. But other than that it's perfect if you do not have a smart tv.

Has more issue with the remote staying connected. Often need to use my cell phone to control. Original roku i think were made better. Maybe a software issue.

Difficult set up requiring a lot of intuitive tech skills. ROKU tech support not helpful. Best Buy tech support saved the day. There is no off switch for the unit so if you need to turn it off, unplug it.
