Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

The sound quality isn't bad but if the volume is up too loud they tend to vibrate. My biggest complaint is the battery life. The description claims '10hrs' but I get maybe 4 if I'm lucky. My guess is I just got a pair with a faulty battery.

Great product and excellent customer service, but these headphones repeatedily fail. While I appreciate the warranty, I've owned four pairs now and all have had issues (mostly charging problems). I bought this pair in Apr 2024 and have already made a warranty claim (Nov 2024).

I tried these for five runs of 5miles or more. They are fairly comfortable and don’t bounce around as much as I thought they might. In the end I decided these were subjectively worse than my AirPods Pro 2 and Beats Fit Pro in transparency mode. The sound quality for music was noticeably poor with a lack of bass and mids. At this price point there is no room for this amount of compromise so I returned the headphones.

These are weird. I mean, they are bone conduction, so the bass is virtually non-existent. However, they boosted the bass on this model from before, so it vibrates heavily against your skull and causes fatigue. And God help you if you're ticklish. The sound quality is mediocre. Overall, I think bone conduction is a gimmick.

Not Happy With Best Buy's 14 Day Return Policy

A great idea for headphones. Unfortunately, they hurt my ears when I run with them. It may be because they are too big. What's even more disappointing is that when I went to return them, I discovered that I mist the return window which is only 2 weeks. Most places give you 30 days and I was very surprised Best Buy only gives 14 days. A big reason for the low rating.

Tinny - Weak - Fussy - Not Worth The Money

When I tried these in the store, they seemed to have good volume, decent base, and were comfortable and easy to wear. When I got them home and charged up, the sound was tinny and weak. At maximum volume it was still what I would consider "usable" volume, but the distortion was notable and ruined the sound quality. No matter how I positioned them or attempted to adjust them (I don't think these are actually adjustable at all), the sound quality was only made worse regardless of what I did. I paid nearly $200 for these and they have the same sound quality as a $30 pair of wired ear buds. Not worth it.

Hi Jim- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience. We highly recommend upgrading to the latest firmware version via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenRun Pro 2. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we have a 45-day return window. Please visit our website, click "Support" and "Return Center" to begin a claim. Thank you! AfterShokzCHT

These headphones are an excellent choice. I got the bone conduction headphones because the in ear type always seem to come out of my ears, even the type that hook around the ear. No problems like that with these. The sound quality is great. I walk four miles a day with them and can get two days use between charges. So, about five hours, probably I would get longer battery life but most of that time is talking on the phone.
