Customers are saying

Customers admire the ROG Zephyrus G14's performance, battery life, and screen quality, frequently praising its portability and compact size. Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the keyboard's reliability and the storage capacity. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and portability outweighs the negative comments regarding heat, fan noise, and storage.

This thing is a beast. Only complaint is the fans are a little loud and speakers are a bit underwhelming but for the performance to size ratio It’s still amazing.

This laptop is a beast. The cpu is based on a 4nm process which makes it super powerful and also energy efficient. It beats the M1 max when both plugged and unplugged and lasts around 6 hours when not using the dedicated graphics. The rtx 4060 graphics is phenomenal and hits 165 hz even on the silent fan profile when playing EA games. However, this performance is achievable only if you are plugged in since the laptop doesn't allow the GPU to reach this wattage on battery in order to save battery life.

this laptop advertises 16 GB of video memory on the box, however, it is noted in the software that this graphics card only has 8 GB of dedicated video memory. This system ran hot, and I mean, hot! When running local large language models. The woofers and tweeters were out of sync, making the audio almost unusable. Otherwise it ran as well as a legacy X86-64 laptop can run.

QC issues still present in 2023 model

The laptop performs very well and scores high on benchmarks. The only problem are the QC issues that I've experienced so far. There are dead spots on the trackpad that stop me from scrolling, clicking, dragging etc. as it often glitches out or stops working as I try to use these functionalities. Other than this, when playing the laptop speakers for the first time, I experienced crackling on the left speaker. I really wanted to love this laptop, but the QC issues really stop me from being able to. They should have been improved upon ever since the 2022 g14 was released and deemed notorious for their qc issues... to me it seems ASUS is really capitalizing on their popularity instead of fixing previously known problems...

Upgraded from a 15inch Acer predator Helios 300 with a 1660ti. I found this one on sale for about $1000-$1100 and literally every review said this laptop was nearly perfect at the original MSRP. I was worried about going smaller but it's so much more convenient to take around with me now. The battery is also really really good compared to most gaming laptops but this thing can handle a lot with the 4060. Also, the screen is beautiful. Bright vivid colors and buttery smooth.

Screen got scratched after laptop put in backpack

The screen is very flexible, and the protruding material close to the touchpad scratches the screen when the laptop is closed. Just make sure to put a cloth in-between the keyboard and screen.

First off Great experience with this laptop, the specs are A lot of bang for the buck, I was able to scoop this great Asus g14 while on sale. Playing call of duty right off the bat, I was hitting better frames then previous generations. Battery is more then enough to get a few games in while on break at work. Temps are a very comfortable, Not to hot on the lap, and not to loud in a quite room just right. Overall very beautiful computer and can an will replace your main computer setup. 10/10 would buy again

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is nothing short of spectacular, and its aesthetics are simply breathtaking. My initial quest was for the larger screen version, but alas, it was out of stock. My longing for a gaming laptop that could deliver an instant thrill won over, and I decided to go with this gem, which happened to be available in-store. One of the standout features for me is the GPU. It's a powerhouse, offering more than enough firepower to ensure that I can enjoy my favorite games even while on vacation. Admittedly, I didn't spend an extensive amount of time glued to this machine during my getaway – mainly just at night when I'm winding down, provided I didn't indulge in one too many drinks. Now, let's talk about my previous laptop, the Macbook Pro. It was a trusty companion for work-related tasks, and I did manage to sneak in a few gaming sessions. However, when it came to the heavy lifting of modern gaming, the Macbook Pro fell short of the mark. That's when the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 came into my life, and it answered my gaming prayers with resounding success. This laptop can handle any game I throw at it, making it my go-to gaming companion. In an unexpected turn of events, this Asus laptop has also managed to dethrone my Macbook Pro from its work-centric pedestal. Now, the Macbook Pro M2, once the pinnacle of productivity, rests on my DJ table, relegated to the singular task of playing music. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 has seamlessly taken over my work duties, and it excels in every aspect. Beyond its impressive performance, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 boasts a sleek and stylish design that's sure to turn heads. The unique design adorning the top of the laptop, coupled with its elegant white finish, make for a truly one-of-a-kind aesthetic. It's a laptop that doesn't just look good; it's a true workhorse. In conclusion, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a triumph in both form and function. It not only meets but exceeds my gaming expectations and has also become an indispensable tool for work. With its eye-catching design and exceptional performance, this laptop is the complete package, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

For the sale open-box price I paid, this really can't be beat. My open-box was likely returned because it has a pretty major backlight bleed issue in the bottom right corner of the screen. Only really noticeable in darker or black screens, so not that big of a deal but something to look out for if that kind of thing bothers you. Pros: The biggest plus I have found is how quiet the system is. I have left it on the "Performance" mode which is basically balanced. When web browsing or watching YouTube, the fans are silent. I have mostly been playing NFS: Unbound (meh game btw) since I got it, and while the fans spin up during that, it stays relatively quiet then too (around 57dB). The 4060 is also pretty impressive. Again on NFS Unbound I can run it with graphics basically all High (not Ultra) and get buttery smooth fps. The QHD screen is good minus the backlight bleed mine has... the colors are a little inaccurate but they're vibrant and the refresh rate is great. Not perfect, but overall impressive for the money. The touchpad and keyboard are fantastic. Better than some laptops that cost 2-3x more than this did. Windows Hello for login is also a premium addition that I have seen much more expensive laptops omit. Cons: The speakers are meh. They get loudish, but don't sound great. The 512SSD is a bit small... you can replace it though, so its got that going for it. Overall: One of the first times I've bought a laptop where I feel like I got every bit of what I paid for and then some. If you are looking for a portable and capable laptop with realistic expectations (no, you won't be able to play maxed out CyberPunk on this) and don't want to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for it, this is perfect.
