Ninja does not care

I contacted ninja, followed their procedures and they told me I would receive a replacement in about 5 days. I drink coffee everyday so I went to dunkin for my coffee. I called ninja after 5 days. They showed my case and told me they would let me know the status within 24/48 hours. I called again after 2 days. Ninja said I would receive the replacement in about 5 days. They wouldn't tell me what happened to my original replacement. I asked to have the replacement expedited but the supervisor refused. I had to wait another 5 days. Ninja doesn't care. The new ninja products are poor quality. I'm having problems with the replacement now. It isn't worth the aggravation calling ninja customer service again. Instead of spending another $40 at dunkin, I'll go buy a Cuisinart.

28 days stopped working- Best Buy only exchange 14

Took it back to Best Buy where we got it with the receipt. Best Buy DOES NOT exchange after 14 days !!! Unless you buy their yearly membership that will exchange for $60.00 . Called Ninja they are shipping the part to fix . Will see if that solves the problem. 28 days it works - Best Buy does take back is what really upset me . Will not buy nothing else from them if that only amount of time they give consumers!

It made a loud noise when we tried to make coffee like it couldn't get water through the reservoir. The coffee was also NEVER hot enough. After brewing we always had to warm our coffee in the microwave for 30 secs & thats just to get to normal coffee temperature. We tried using grounds but the coffee never seemed to taste right so we stuck to only pods. I suggest buying the warranty if you decide to purchase because it'll definitely stop working.

Not what I hoped for in a coffee maker

Failed & replaced. Replacement failed the same way

Exchanged for another new unit and it failed the exact same way within about a week. Switched to another brand and have had no problems. If I could find any reason to rate this higher, I would - it has decent features for the price. But two identical failures in roughly the same time period for each unit is an immediate disqualifier for me. If you end up buying one of these, I truly hope you have better luck than I did.

All in one compact design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compatible with K-Cup type coffee pods, this coffee maker also allows ground coffee to brew different hot or cold types of coffee. The water tank is sufficient enough to handle at least 4-5 cups of coffee at one time before needing a refill. The settings are on one dial to simplify the process of selecting the different type of coffee you like. I enjoy the small narrow design to fit on my counter without taking much space. There is even a attached pull out milk frother to customize your drinks even more, making it an all-in-one one stop shop for coffee production. The Frother itself is quiet and warms the milk up to an efficient drinkable temperature, but the machine itself as it brews the coffee on the hot side is a little buzzy. Nothing short of what's expected but I feel like it could be quieter. When using ground coffee clean up as a breeze just pull out the filter and there's no mess. The filter is reusable, washable and very durable. With care, I can see this coffee machine being used for a long time in an individual office desk setting, or single person apartment. I can't see it being used for full house family that drink coffee on the regular.

Cable too short,too deep to fit on counter top

A Contender for the Crown
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have for several years now big an enthusiastic fan of another big name manufacturer of single-serve coffee making. This is just for full disclosure that I am giving the Ninja PB051 SIX out of five stars on this review, and it is only because Ninja earned it. I have used, owned, or product tested several varied brands and styles of coffee makers over the years. The Ninja PB051, in my opinion, is the coolest single-serve coffee maker I have ever used. Out of the box, the unit is easy to set up and get brewing with. So much so that, for me, reading the instructions overcomplicated my initial use. It really is just filling the unit with water. Choosing which style of coffee you want, how much you want, and hitting the brew button. I enjoy the ergonomic water reservoir design. When it is early in the morning, and you are making coffee. It can be one of those start of day nuisances that can be a catalyst for the rest of your day when you cannot immediately get the water reservoir back onto the unit quickly and easily. I am impressed with the design team for thinking of grumpy morning people like me. The tank is concaved on two sides and will go on either way. My next shoutout to that design team is the sophisticated styling of the top interface buttons. They are lightly illuminated and offer a certain zen vibe that is hard for me to articulate, but I assure you it is there. The whole setup fits nicely on our countertop and will even sit on our current pod raiser tray without impeding the cabinets above or the overall use of the device. The unit offers four coffee style selections and offers two ways to produce them. I was surprised to see that I can use traditional coffee grounds, or it is equally compatible with K-Cups. The PB051 provides governance trays for either grounds or pods. The side of the device has a little compartment to stow away whichever one is not in use to avoid the possibility of loss. Having used K-Cups for so long, I had to dig into the back of the cabinet to find a filter and grounds. I was not disappointed and appreciated the waste consideration from Ninja. The coffee maker also has an inlaid scoop for easy measuring and again stowage. My favorite part might also be my only complaint about the Ninja PB051. The foldaway built-in milk frother is a nifty addition. I mean, I love being able to turn my coffee into a latte in an instant. I joke and tell people that since I began drinking coffee, I have rarely ever chosen straight black coffee because I love myself. So, my complaint is for how wonderfully the designers planned every other aspect of this unit the frother. The frother honestly hangs too low and you almost have to snake your material underneath it. I would have also liked to have seen it on the front and not a random side. We have our coffee maker on the left of the cabinet next to the pantry, which is a wall. For me to use the frother, I must slide everything over. Not a deal breaker, but more often than not I only froth milk on the weekend so I do have to jack with anything early in the day 😊. This Ninja PB051 is full of wonderful inclusions that differentiate and separate it as a daily driver coffee maker. This Ninja produces superior-tasting coffees from either grounds or pounds. It is also able to do this in each of its four style choices. I am now a bigger fan of this Ninja.

Best coffee maker for my daily use

The look from out of the box is a work of art, sleek and beautiful. Included instructions were easy to understand and after cleaning and calibrating the components of the machine I was ready to go. I really love that with a simple accessory swap out you can use either ground coffee or K-cups. The buttons on the top to select your preferred style of brewing your coffee is easy to understand and use. I have used both the K-cup and ground coffee versions and both have given me the desired strength and flavor. I look forward to using this Ninja coffee maker each day. The water reservoir is easy to take off and snap back into place with no mess. I really like the side storage to keep the basket you are not using nicely tucked away until you want to swap it out. There is a measuring spoon on the side of the machine neatly stored as well. The milk frothing wand on the side stay out of the way until you wish to use it, there is a button on the top of the swing arm to turn the frothing action on. Clean up is easy and I personally like the fact that the ground basket has a built in filter to cut down on waste. With a machine like this I can save so much time and money not going out for coffee! This is the perfect machine for me as I am the only coffee drinker in my home. To date, this is my favorite coffee maker I have ever owned hands down.

Broke within a year

This thing, within a year, stopped making coffee using the basket and would only use K cups. Ninja eventually replaced the entire unit, and now that replacement has also quit using the basket. We will not buy a Ninja coffee maker again.
