    This review came in my email right after the machine stopped working after 1 month of minimal use. It's only for occasional use. Trying to deal with Ninja customer support is a nightmare. They do chat and the agent would go away for 5-10 mins at a time to deal with another customer.

    Not a good product! The pods side of it stopped working after 7 months of owning it it!

    Broke in less then 6 months

    Had bad luck with ninja coffee makers before but decided to give this a try. Big mistake! Machine was working great with the k-cups until I used the filter for a couple of days, went back to k-cups and it wouldn’t brew the cups anymore, only using the filter. Ninja support wanted to send me a new power cord lol. Good thing I paid for the warranty at BB.

    Bought this Ninja and thought it was a good purchase. Wrong. Using a K-cup pod it bursts and of course grounds everywhere. Every time I used this brand, it would do it. Today Clean came on. It would not even let me clean it. Just made noise and stopped. The water pump motor must be shot as others have mentioned. Waste of money.

    Absolute garbage! First one stopped working (pump issue) in less than one month. Returned it and tried the second one. Now this one is shot in just over a month. Hoping I can return it for a refund and just go with a Keurig!

    The Ninja Pods & Grounds Specialty Single-Serve Coffee Maker is another awesome coffee maker released by Ninja. I really like the Ninja brand since they always seem to release high-quality products and this single-serve pods & grounds specialty coffee maker fits right in with the rest of Ninja’s great line of products. One of the things I love about this particular coffee maker is how compact it is. It has a very slim design which made it easy for me to find the perfect spot for it on my kitchen counter. The fact that it is also able to store all of the components it comes with in the machine itself so they don’t have to be stored elsewhere is a huge benefit as well. Another thing I really like is how the cup tray is adjustable. It can be raised so there isn’t any splashing when brewing into a shorter coffee cup or it can be lowered for brewing into taller travel mugs. This type of ingenuity is what I really love and have come to expect from Ninja. I could go on and on about how much I like every little feature such as the ability to use actual coffee grounds OR pods and how easy it is to clean and maintain the machine before even commenting about the quality of the coffee produced itself which is also amazing. The ability to brew a great tasting cup of coffee in 4 different and distinct styles (classic, rich, over ice, or specialty brew) from such a compact machine is incredible and I couldn’t be any more impressed. In summary, the Ninja Pods & Grounds Specialty Single-Serve Coffee Maker is one of the best coffee makers I have had the pleasure of using and I highly recommend it!

    Simple & straight forward w/one small gripe

    With a built in frother and storage compartment for the pod or bean grounds basket, this single serve brewer from Ninja has a lot of functionality in it's small footprint, making it perfect for those with RVs, condos, or wanting something they can put away in between uses. The controls/inputs face upward (versus being on the front panel) so keep that mind depending on your own height and/or placement on a surface. Said controls are simple, involving push buttons and lights, with no digital display or clock. Having said that, there are backlit fonts that light up as you push the corresponding button to adjust your selection. Coffee brewing is straight forward. Everything works as it should and there is very little if any learning curve involved with the process. My one operational-based gripe is that you are limited to a single style of pod: the larger generic pod shape. There is no adapter to work with K-cups, or either of the Nespresso styles. My only other gripe, is the price. This is a very simple design and the controls/interface are basic. It is obvious that costs were saved by going this route. It is still a great brewer, but I would keep an eye on sales. The lack of an adapter and the cost is the justification for removing a star from my review, but I would still recommend it baring those two things in mind.

    Broke in 2 months!!!! Took to the store, they refused to take it back, because I had not purchased GeekSquad Protection!! BestBuy is a theif!!! all they do is just sell their protection plans, not even worrying about consumers!!

    Buyer beware

    I have this unit for 4 months and mainly use the grounds function. After using the pods adapter about 10 times, it stopped working. Although the unit was registered with Ninja, the warranty does not cover the pods adapter. This turned out to be a very poor purchase.

    6 months old and not working. Love when it worked but too expensive to keep replacing every 6 months to a year have had 4 ninja coffee makers and none last

    I love this coffee maker. It's as simple as it gets. The size is perfect for all living spaces, and it slides in easy onto the counter. Truthfully, we all desire to have the ultimate machine to turn our kitchen into a coffee shop. Realistically, this is not possible unless we're sacrificing other appliances. The Ninja Pods & Grounds Specialty Single-Serve Coffee Maker offers variety in the areas of size and style desired. I come from a family of coffee drinkers, and there's a division over using pods or grounds, but this accommodates for both users. Setup was very quick and easy given the slim stature of the product. After only pressing a few buttons, my coffee was ready to be brewed. I proceeded to have my first sip, and it was great. I have zero complaints because this coffee maker has made my mornings run a lot smoother. Coffee makers exists in different forms. This is a basic machine, but it's very complete. Additionally, if you have someone older who may be intimidated by modern machines then this is the perfect gift for them.

    Best Buy Return Policy Terrible

    Heating element died after 1 month. Best Buy has a 15 day warranty. Note to self - don’t buy anything from Best Buy!

    Quit working after a month and was told it could only be replaced once. Second one last 2 months and same thing it quit working. Junk!

    BURN TASTE

    After 2nd brew it started giving ashy/burned taste. Did cleanup couple times that flavor never went away. Can’t even return it at this point. I guess I’m stuck with it now.

    Stopped working after three weeks and of course they only give you two weeks to be able to return it. I used it exactly 5 times before it stopped working completely. No refund available etc..
