    Item is totally functional. Nice icemaker, I like the external access. The only thing I don't like is that you pull from the bottom of the slide out drawers on the refrigerator side.

    Very good refrigerator, except for the interior vegetable and fruit trays, are not very friendly. They open from the bottom of the tray instead of from the top, which is more convenient.

    Biggest complaint is the small door on the fridge it doesn’t seal well and has condensation around lip if you catch on sale around $1200 buy great fridge

    I have had this fridge for 5 months , what a piece of crap . If you shut the fridge door the freezer door pops open . I constantly have to check the doors , on several occasions my freeze food thaws and causes a ton of frost that needs to be cleaned out . The ice maker has to be reset at least twice a week . I would recommend going with any other fridge than this one . I going to have to put this one in the garage and spend another 2 grand on something different .

      For the freezer door, it might just be a little alignment issue or maybe the door seals aren’t closing quite right. It’s a good idea to check those seals to make sure they’re clean and in good shape since damaged seals can cause the door to pop open when you close the fridge door. Also, double-check that your fridge is level because sometimes an uneven appliance can mess with door alignment.

      As for the ice maker, it could be something with water pressure or a setting. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it another reset and make sure the water supply is steady.     Refrigerator is nice but ice maker takes forever to produce ice. After 24 hours it makes maybe half a tub of ice.

    I do NOT recommend this refrigerator because of its extremely slow ice maker. Model LY27S3240S. Purchased January 2025. Even using the Ice Plus feature, which is supposed to temporarily boost production, it takes an entire day to fill the ice bin, which is not very big. Also, when using the door dispenser for ice, not only is it slow, it’s also pretty loud with straining sounds. And small ice pieces fly everywhere. To speed things along, we have resorted to grabbing ice straight from the bin. Another downside is that the bin is designed so you can't reach inside the bin. Instead, you have to remove the entire bin from the door to get access to the ice. The water dispenser is also slow so we stopped using that too. LG Live Chat affirmed the ice production speed: Standard Icemaker - 48 hours (first batch), 24 hours (succeeding).
