    We decided to try a side-by-side after years with a French door fridge and it was a massive mistake. It looked and sounded like a lot of space but it wasn't useable space. The door-in-door started kind of coming apart and wouldn't latch correctly so we ended up getting it replaced with a french door LG fridge.

    The water that came out of the dispenser had a chemical smell and taste. Returned and tried again with same model. Same problem. Switch to different brand and water is good.

    The first one didn't get cold enough so the freezer never worked. Items will not get frozen. Then we got the 2nd one (replacement) and then the 2nd one had a water leak damaging the wooden floor.

    Good new frig for us. we were sad to see our 16 year old frig go, but this has been a good experience to get this new one from LG. nice size in frig and freezer. We enjoy the little down to get quick things. Water taste is slightly metal tasting, good ice producer and like it in the door versus the time shelf in freezer. Ice bucket is tough to remove, we are getting better at tilting it to get it out. I do miss my meat and cheese drawer, but adjusting to that too, I got cheaper clear bins to hold meat and cheese for easy storage. Also, great services for installation, good workers.

    The doors are inconvenient to use and not economical friendly. The door in door feature is ok but no where as convenient as in other units we’ve owned. The ice and water dispenser is a pain to switch between the two and the push panel feels off when used. The delay of the interior door when opened is annoying, I want full on when I open the door, not a gradual increase in brightness. The non adjustable shelves in the fridge make for awkward placement of large beverage containers. The plus side is the freezer section is large and roomy.
