Stopped connecting to a brand new OLED TV. Came home, turned on TV, no connection. Went through all the troubleshooting. Would turn on and try to connect and then turn off. Returned and only option was to send in for warranty repair. Three weeks later, still not back. BTW: TV and soundbar are both Samsung. Bought this soundbar because of its recommendation and ability to use Qsymphony.

We are pleased with the quality of sound we receive from these sound bars. Gave it only 4 stars as the bars don't produce the deeper robust sounds as well as they should.

Great Soundbar, terrible instructions for remote

My issue is the manual for the remote is not very helpful regarding what the buttons actually. So I had to YouTube for better instructions.

Alexa seems to just turn on and interrupt our show or movies sounds great but I'm sure sounds a lot better with the subwoofer and speakers. wouldn't recommend you to just purchase this alone

Did not need separate bass just something better than TV speakers that had good voice clarity. This soundbar had enough bass for OTA TV content with clear voice. Would recommend.

Great audio, confusing set-up

Especially considering the vague instructions that came with it. Thankfully, I was able to search up a few videos and reviews on it online to help us. Other than that, the audio can definitely sound a little quiet at times.

To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.
To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD. When you press the SOUND MODE button it will change to the different modes in the above order.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.
If you are looking for additional bass, beyond what the HW-S60D can provide, consider adding the compatible SWA-W510 Wireless Subwoofer from Samsung to take your audio experience to the next level.

A kind of wish I had opted in for something else but this was the cheapest one they had for what I was after the audio sounds great. Don't get me wrong. The issue that I have with it is that it will not stay connected with the t. V, so I'm constantly having to unpair it and re-pair it.

Thank you for taking a few moments to review the HW-S50B Soundbar.
Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements.
When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the Micro USB port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner.
2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
3. Save the downloaded software to a USB memory stick and select “Extract Here” to unzip the folder.
4. Turn on the Soundbar and connect the USB memory stick containing the software update to the female port on a Micro USB adapter cable (not supplied). Connect the cable to the USB port on the Soundbar.
5. Plug USB into Soundbar and switch to USB source, the software will update automatically and will complete update within 2 minutes. During the update process, the 5 LEDs will start flashing in a loop, and then the 5 LEDs will all be bright white, and then the 5 LEDs will flash in a loop again. When the update is complete, the cyan indicator blinks 3 times, and the soundbar automatically restarts.
If LED sequence flashing is not displayed:
1. Turn off the Soundbar, disconnect and then reconnect the USB storage device that contains the update files to the Soundbar’s USB port.
2. Disconnect the Soundbar’s power cord, reconnect it, and then turn on the Soundbar.

It provides a richer, deeper sound than the TV speakers alone. I got the soundbar on sale so it was a great value, I can't say I'd feel the same if I paid full price.

I set it up as Q-symphony enabled with my samsung 65inch oled tv. can't tell how it works but it does improve the sound quality from TV. With the price point, it's a good enhancement for the whole TV entertainment experience for sure.
