    Powerful Multi-Function Oven

Our family has been through many toaster ovens over the years. We’ve relied on them daily for everything from basic toasting to use as a full oven backup. But now that we maintain a low-carb lifestyle, we thought we could go without a multi-function oven after our last 5-year old toaster oven died just a couple of months ago. Wrong! It took only a few days for us to realize just how dependent we’d grown on the convenient countertop appliance. Enter this Ninja Flip Oven. After putting it through its paces, our family agrees: it’s the best yet. Design/Flip Up: We’re used to the standard, boxy, rectangular shape of the typical toaster oven. So, this low-profile design took a little getting used to. Our previous ovens were 9-to-10” in height, but this sleek little Ninja sits just 7.68” high. Unless you’re roasting full chickens or tall beef roasts, the reduced height really makes no difference. And the flip-up option (standing the unit on its back when not in use) converts it into a real space-saver. We must admit, however, that when the unit is stood on its back & the bottom of the oven becomes the face, it no longer offers an aesthetically pleasing look, especially with the bottom feet protruding towards the viewer. This is really the only negative we’ve found with the unit. Otherwise, it’s amazing. The control buttons are simple & intuitive, so much so that we never even needed to consult the instruction manual to use any of the 8 functions. The oven is very easy to program with logical buttons placed from left to right. Just select the Mode, Temp, Time, & Start. It will also display the word “Flip” once the unit has fully cooled down to confirm that it’s safe to flip up & out of the way. Cooking Power: Pre-heating is extremely fast at just under 1 minute. After our old toaster oven had died, we tried to roast vegetables in our large gas oven. But we never could achieve that crispy, crunchy finish we were after. So, we resorted to steaming our cauliflower, broccoli, & squash, etc. Yuck! Nobody in our family was jazzed about eating those near tasteless, steamed veggie sides. But we’ve since tried all 3 veggies in the Ninja, and they’ve all turned out scrumptious! Air Roasting helps create amazing flavors. Even a boring tray of broccoli tossed in salt, pepper, & oil & air-roasted for 15 mins., comes to life like a gourmet side dish--crispy on the outside & tender in the middle. We’ve tried every function except dehydrating, & they all cook fast & perfectly. We can’t wait to try making our own beef jerky. We even like how the internal light comes on when the cycle ends to give an additional alert to the user, along w/the pleasant low chime. This Ninja toaster oven can do it all, which is why we’re giving it a big ‘thumbs up’. It’s a great choice whether you’re single & living in an apartment or dorm or you’re part of a small or large family.

Can replace your toaster AND air fryer

I am very impressed with this unit. I got it because my counter space is limited and the idea of a "fold-up" toaster was very enticing. While it doesn't fold like a piece of paper, it does FLIP up so that it becomes vertical and you gain some much needed counter space. The rubber feet wrap around the back of the unit allowing it to be stood up vertically with no wobble, and there is no traditional handle sticking out, instead there is a flap on the left side to open the door. I The only downside of this flip up feature is that you have to become very meticulous about cleaning the food particles that fall since flipping it up now allows gravity to push those particles to the back of the unit. As noted in the title, this device can replace your toaster AND air fryer since it has both functions, and both of them are quite capable. I've enjoyed cooking everything that I would in a conventional toaster and a conventional air fryer. Moreover, you get a window, which you don't get on air fryers, and a light, which you don't get on most basic cheapo toasters. Now, you might look at this unit and say "it is short, so the interior space is limited", but it is not the case because the unit is so deep! So even though my former toaster is more trapezoidal in shape and appears to have more space due to its height, this Ninja unit having more depth to it provides either equal or more space. There are a lot of other really nice features to this unit. First the door is so nice. It is quiet on closing and the springs in it are very smooth. The digital display and buttons provide a brand new level of enjoyment of a toaster that no traditional analog toaster could do - digital timer, digital thermometer. Now, of course, the digital features do limit the unit's lifespan (digital parts + heat? ehhhhhh). My traditional analog dial toaster is going on 7 years strong with no issues. I'll cross that bridge when we get there in a few years (I hope). The trays they provide you are very nice and plentiful. And I noticed that there is a dehydrator function on the unit which my wife is excited to use one day... I definitely recommend this unit 100%.

    Space Saving Ninja

I am a fan of Ninja kitchen appliances. So, I was delighted to get the opportunity to try out the new Flip. It is designed to provide an assortment of cooking methods, as well as opening lots of counter space when not in use. It does all that and looks good doing it. In the box is a crumb tray (Remove for cleaning; otherwise, it stays in place.), a wire rack, a non-stick sheet pan, and an air fry basket. Hand washing is recommended for all. The Flip has eight cooking presets: Air Fryer, Air Roast, Bake, Pizza, Broil, Toast, Bagel, and Dehydrate. Though these are time/temperature preset, they can easily be fine-tuned, as needed, by using the easy-to-read control panel options. For my taste, I found the preset on the functions Pizza, Toast, and Bake {Eggplant Parmigiano} to overcook. This is unlike other Ninjas that I have now or have had, which are mostly spot on. By comparison, that’s a bit of a disappointment. However, for continued use, I will dial down the presets. It is easier to fix undercooked food than it is to fix overcooked food. An especially nice cooking feature of the Flip is you don’t have to wait long for the oven to get ready to cook. Reaching the set temperature takes only a minute or so. The Flip can definitely cook, and over-cooking issues that I have cited can be adjusted in the settings. On the other hand, there are design characteristics, good and not so good, that should be mentioned. *For some reason, the door has only one handle to assist in opening, and it is on the left side of the door. For “lefties” that might be great, but for us “righties” it can be problematic. This is especially true when the door is hot! Reaching with the right hand, which we “righties” are acclimated to doing, can result in a painful burn. For one handle, put it in the middle of the front, not on the side. If two, put one on each side. That’s more comfortable, and it avoids burns. To me, this is a safety flaw and is why I have rated the Flip 4 stars instead of 5. *For cooking “flat” items, the cooking space is fine. However, it is not designed to cook something that is thicker than approximately 3.75 inches. For my purposes, this is no bother, because I have a much larger Ninja for bigger items. *The Flip has something helpful you don’t often see in Fryer/Ovens, an interior light. Given the small size of the oven chamber and its low positioning, the light sure is helpful, because you won’t have to open the door whenever you want to peer inside. There is an easily seen on/off button on the control panel. Also, when the cooker finishes the cooking cycle, the light automatically turns on. This is a helpful visual notification should you not hear the “done” chime. All in all, the Ninja Flip is a very nice, utile cooker. In my experience, Ninja products are built to last. They will continue cooking for you, if you don’t abuse them, for a long time. My large Ninja air fryer/grill combo has been in service for several years, and it still works like a champ. I expect the Flip will, too. With mention of the door handle positioning, I would surely recommend the Ninja Flip to a friend.

Bottom Line: The Ninja Flip Toaster Oven & Air Fryer is a large capacity multifunctional device that delivers on its features. Pros: large capacity for family sized cooking; multifunction features work well; handy screen and interior light; easy to use and clean; flip will save counter space Cons: outside gets very hot - only handle is safe to touch; doesn't quite air fry as fast and well as traditional air fryer Review: The Ninja flip serves as a multifunctional device, capable of toasting, baking, air frying, and dehydrating food. Its large capacity makes it suitable for family-sized meal cooking without resorting to splitting the food into batches. It’s also really handy to be able to toast and bake (e.g., it will fit a frozen pizza) without having to turn on the full-sized oven. The unit is pretty easy to use with all of the buttons on the front panel. There’s a handy screen that will show time, temperature, end of the cook cycle, and, importantly, when the unit is still hot. Also, there’s an interior light (just like a full-sized oven) that automatically turns on when you’re nearing the end of the cooking cycle to see how well done your food actually is (you can manually turn the light on as well). The unit comes with four inserts: a crumb tray (like you would have in a regular toaster oven), wire rack, sheet pan, and air fryer basket. Each is easy to remove and easy to clean. For those with limited counter space, you can, indeed, flip the unit up, and the screen will tell you when the unit has cooled down and it is safe to do so. That said, any crumbs or debris left in the unit will fall other the back and be harder to clean out. Much like a standard toaster oven, the outside of the unit gets very hot and really only the handle on the left side is safe to touch after use. Given its design and size, we do not feel safe letting our nine year old cook with the unit, although she has been using our traditional air fryer without issue for the past few months. Last, while it definitely delivers on its ability to cook, bake, and air fry (we haven’t used the dehydrate feature), it doesn’t do so as fast or as well as our stand alone air fryer unit. The outside of our frozen hash browns, for instance, take much longer to get crispy, and sometimes the inside isn’t as heated as thoroughly as we would like.

I have been waiting for an air fryer like this

This air fryer is my favorite one I’ve used so far and I have used close to a dozen. Everything comes out perfectly crisp and clean up is really simple. This is the air fryer that I am going to keep in an RV because of its ability to fold up and save precious space in close quarters. The controls are very intuitive and well thought out and I had no issue using it directly out of the box without even cracking the manual. I really like how easy this is to clean as some of the other ones I have tried are very difficult to get into and clean all the nooks and crannies. Air fryers are a little messy by nature and Ninja has found a way to maintain a clean air fryer. In fact, the one thing that makes me trash my air fryer is the inability to clean it. This air fryer capacity is more medium capacity I would say. I haven’t found anything that I personally can’t cook in it, but I’m sure larger meals would probably need to be cooked in sessions. If you were like me and were looking for a space-saving air frying solution, then this is a great choice.

I hated my old Air fryer LOL seriously it was one of those cheap ones with one button to turn it on and off and the knob that just infinitely turned. Overtime the knob seemed to burn out and would just go to whatever temperature it wanted to on top of that being an issue I'm completely blind so it made it almost impossible for me to use. Just got done making a couple different things with my new ninja flip and I have to say it's way more user friendly especially now that I have learned the buttons. Everything I've made thus far has turned out great! The first time I cooked one of those frozen party pizzas just to see what was up kind of made me realize how bad my old one was lol so far everything's been flipping awesome

Packaging is great, nothing was dented or scratched. The good -Very nice low profile, easy to clean. -Easy front labeled very well controls. -taster rack is nice and deep -Tasts pretty even -airfrys very good The bad - a liitle rattle when hearing with airfry racks installed - the pan has a lip that makes cooking pizza not flat and baking cookies kinda crooked - beeping noise when you start the unit after pressing start and when it reaches temperature. - a little smaller on top with the air fry wire rack , due to a slant on the inside I love the controls but noticed the wire rack smaller than the taster rack due to a slant on the inside top. Not a big deal at all. The beeping , well i am an early bird and dont want to wake my significant other so i wish for less beeping. The rattleling is very minor but noticeable, but the pan not being flat is the biggest negative to me as cooking pizzas or cookies and like, not easy to keep flat. Otherwise i like this ninja flip toaster oven.

This Ninja toaster oven is the answer I have been looking for! I have an older home with a small kitchen. Counter space is definitely at a premium. (and I now consider an air fryer a essential kitchen appliance) The size on this toaster oven is perfect! It is big enough inside to fit a 12" pizza or 9 slices of bread. It pre-heats in 50 seconds! (I don't bother pre-heating anymore) and cooks food quite quickly. There is a learning curve as to how long to put food in for, probably due to how close the quartz heating elements are to the food. I would suggest to do half the time and check it. You can always cook longer! (the first pizza I tried came out a bit on the dark side, even following the manufacturer directions to do 30% less time) I really like the different modes - air fry, air bake, toast & dehydrate are probably the functions I will use the most. It does a beautiful job on toast. Setting 4 is just right, lightly browned outside and chewy on the inside, perfect! Buy a bag of cheap bread and try out all 7 settings to see what's right for you. When baking is over there is a nice loud notification and the light turns on. Just a nice added touch. Then once the unit cools off it will say flip and you just pivot it up out of the way. Now it only takes up 8 inches of precious counter space, Brilliant! I am really enjoying this Ninja toaster oven / Air fryer!

Ninja Flip Toaster Oven & Air Fryer is simply amazing. Packaging - well packaged in a nice outer box and cardboard inserts for ease of shipping. Overview - This looks great and amazing. Easy to follow instructions to remove all packaging and setup to use quickly. Air Fryer setting - Used for Taquitos, Onion Rings, egg rolls. Preheat runs in a matter of seconds. Once preheat is complete it beeps and starts frying. Results are awesome. Onion rings just right not too done and not to flimsy. Crisp even cooking all rings were cooked the same and had a nice golden crisp appearance and crunched when ate. Pizza setting - used for cooking Pizza bagel bites - crust was done - not doughy and not hard - felt very much like a bagel - pizza toppings and cheese were done and melted as I would expect. Even cooking once again. Air roast setting - Cooked some pork loin and some chicken in the roasting pan - cooked evenly and everything was juicy and done in throughout. Flavor was baked in as expected and made for a great meal with some zuchinni and brocolli. Great dish to say the least. The ability to flip it up on its end to store was a great surprise to how well it sits sturdy without any fear of it falling over. The weight is shifted to the bottom/back of the unit so it stays in place. Definitely would encourage anyone who needs a toaster oven and like to experience air fryer capabilities and easy to clean device, to look into purchasing one of these.
