Great Espresso

Great machine but not for the weak.

Only complaints are the smallish water tank and the amount of force required to install and remove the filter whosit. It required a certain amount of strength to where the force required is greater than the weight of the machine. So you must hold the machine opposite the side you're turning the handle with that same amount of force. I'm capable (barely) but my wife struggles with it to where she immediately went back to the Keurig which is way easier for her to manipulate.

Great, but takes work?

Plus teh grinder is not calibrated right and I have not figured it out. It will not stop grinding until all of the beans have been dispensed. I work around it by only putting in what we need. The coffee tastes great though, almost like it is from a coffee press.

Barista Assist Technology learns from past brews and automatically recommends the grind size based on the beans and previous brew outputs. You can simply brew 2 espressos, and the machine will calibrate for your current beans.
Here are some helpful steps: 1. To calibrate your grinder, brew 2 espressos. 2. While you can still drink your first two brews, please note that the flavor and crema may not be optimal. 3. Ensure you match your current grind setting to the recommended one each time you brew. 4. After the second brew, your grinder is calibrated, and you can enjoy your perfect drink. Tips: Remember to repeat this process when you change the beans in the bean hopper. Keep in mind that the recommended grind size may change as beans age or when using new beans. Barista Assist Technology will make adjustments to ensure proper espresso extraction. Coffee grinder calibration is only necessary for single, double, and quad shots. However, we will absolutely share your feedback with the relevant teams for consideration in future products.

Will it Work?

Went to go make the first cup of espresso.... nothing. No water, no heat, nada. After fiddling with it longer than I should, it was recommended by their support to get a replacement. Machine #2: Worked wonderful. Stopped getting coffee elsewhere and have been making 2 cups day... I guess that's too much for Ninja. Machine stopped working, tossed an ER14 code. Code indicates bad water flow. When on cleaning cycle, water flows just fine. I noticed "cold press" works. Anything needing heat doesn't. So... it's back to their support team. I can't recommend this machine at this time.
