Got these to use at work with Skype for Business. Work great - also help to drown out office noise with Pandora. Easy to hook up - wither with USB adapter or straight into Audio/Mike jacks on PC.

The Logitech g430 is excellent. It has the 7.1 surround and a excellent mic for $40. It well worth for the cash. NOTE: There's a usb adapter for you to use for the 7.1.

So far so good. The price for the headset is great. They say the headset is noise reducing but there is better headphones for a more expensive price.

    Two audio inputs required

It would be really nice, and make shopping for headphones online much easier and not take hours, if the manufacturers could accurately describe what type of connectors it has on it. The specifications say: Detachable Cord No Connector Size 1/8 in. (3.5mm) That's "connector" singular. I was expecting one cable with one plug so I can plus this into the PS4 controller and get game audio and chat. I can't use the USB connector to my PS4 because between an external hard drive and PSVR, I have no free ports. I also have my own unique living situation and I have the PS4 set up on the other side of the room with a 20' HDMI cable running to an Asus Gaming Monitor on my desk. I can't have headphone wires running that far too. I also can't go wireless because of the USB port issue. Why don't they put more ports on these things? Anyway, I'm pretty annoyed that after waiting for 2 days to get this headset in the mail, that I can't even use it unless I go by a y adapter if I can find a store within 50 miles that even sells stuff like that anymore. All of this aggravation could be avoided if manufacturers showed or told you exactly what connectors it has.

    Ok headset but many problems

I recently bought this headset after my G35 broke. Comparing it to the g35, the g35 is better in pretty much every regard. The only thing i like more about the g430 is the cloth ear phones as opposed to the leather on the g35. After about a year of use the leather on my g35 would fall apart and stick to my face. The g430 cloth does feel nicer on my head. The problems however have been piling up. The g430 was designed with noise cancelling that should cut down on noise around you while allowing you to speak normally. However the g430 cancels sound a little too well. When i speak on skype it is difficult for anyone to hear the beginning of what i say. There is also a problem where sometimes, while i am in game and on skype my sound will completely cut out and my mic will stop working. This is usually only fixed by me completely leaving game and unplugging my headset. It is very frustrating and has led me to consider returning this headset

    I would avoid

I would avoid these headphones until they get some type of redesign. The sound quality and ease of use is great, but the build quality is lacking. I went through 2 pairs of these, treating them VERY carefully in less than a year. There is a piece of plastic on the inside of the band, right above the ear piece that is prone to breaking. Once this piece breaks, the cup will just dangle. I had to replace the headphones twice and Logitech's Customer Service (While understanding and helpful) is slow - Two weeks to reply to my initial request slow.

This headphone guaranteed what it was marketed for, gaming. Great sound and I love the head and over ear cushion that this product provided. However the USB feature that comes with the product is not the best and seem to keep disconnecting from my USB hub.

    Terrible quality and design

I have quite a history with logitech products, from 2 keyboards, 3 mice (g502 highly reccomend), 2 headsets now, and a mouse pad. This headset has been by far the worst purchase of any technology i've ever purchased. this headset was my downgrade from the Logitech G930 wireless headset which I experienced constant problems with since the first month of owning it until i finally got fed up and decided to replace it with the lower G430 model which i'm reviewing angrily now. i've had this headset for about 3 weeks now and making calls is near impossible as the mic registers my voice about 1/3 the time, regardless of how much i tamper with the twitch voice settings. the usb plug-in adapter is very awkward and clunky, hanging about 6 inches off the port. the on-chord volume and mic controls are in a terrible place sitting at about 3-feet down from the earmuffs. and last but certainly not least the headband is the most uncomfortable thing to ever be put on my head, you can barely have it on for more than an hour without feeling a rut worn into your skull where it rests. the only good thing i could say about this product is the sound quality is pretty good. just pretty good at that. if i could give it 0 stars i would. -a dissapointed, FORMER logitech consumer

I bought this headset because other reviews said it sounded great on your PC and PS4. I'm a huge logitech fan and it is great for PC use but sounds bad when in use with the ps4

    Alright at the Very Least

It is fairly nice and comfy. But the real thing that bothers me is the fact that the "Dolby 7.1 surround sound" isn't all what its cracked up to be. In fact, it causes more issues. If you tend to use services like Skype or anything of such, it will cause the program to sound and become echoy and very annoying. Not only that but on certain games and programs (IE: Jet Set Radio & War Thunder) it causes the sound to only come from one side should you ever decide to turn off the poor excuse for surround sound. In the end, the whole surround sound is a lot more trouble than its worth. If I had known about this before buying the product, I would have never purchased it. Now because of this, I can no longer skype and play certain games at the same time without the sound coming out of one ear phone, or a echoy skype. Oh also the band of the headset is a bit weak in the sense of cheap plastic. Mine has yet to break but there has been reports online of them snapping.

Very Quiet with 7.1 or 5.1 with USB

These headphone are very comfortable. And very loud if you are plugging them straight into your sound card jacks. But be warned, to get the 7.1 and 5.1 sound you must use the USB adapter. And the sound is very low, and basically worthless. There is a fix out there where you download an old set of drivers. The sound does improve, but not enough. I would return if I could.

Do not buy this! the usb dongle does not work. the first one i had said generic headset would not let me load softwear. the second one i got did reconize my headset and let me put in softwear, but it would not let the mic work on black ops 3 and it sounded bad. i put my old creative labs dongle on them and used the creative labs softwear and they worked great. bad usb dongle bad softwear do not buy them!

Always having problems with Logitech Headsets

    Posted .

I previously purchased a wireless G930 from here about 2 years ago, and it had connection issues from the start, then it started breaking apart after only a year...taped it up and soldiered on despite needing to move it often to regain sound in one of the head pieces. Fast forward to last week, went out to get a new headset to finally replace the one I have, one of my friends has a G930 and he never had a problem with it. Wanting to stay away from a wireless headset I opted on the G430...wrong move. I got home and unboxed it, hooked it up, only to realize the mic fades out for a split second every so often depending on how I move my head, also, because the cord is braided(for reasons I don't understand), you can hear it in the left head piece every time it brushes against your body(which is often because of where the cord comes out of the head unit). Overall its not a very good product, not sure why people gives it such rave reviews. I'll be returning it for another brand this time. Just stay away from Logitech Headsets

    Easily broken

On my third set! They break where the speaker swivels. The plastic part above the speaker is thin (poor design). First warranty claim went smoothly, the second, not so much. 3 1/2 weeks later I had to call and inquire to the status of my claim as the would not respond to many requests online. The headset works well, just a poor design.
