For the 2 years I've had the protection plan I haven't had to use it. But having the protection for such as important device (my laptop), I believe, is important.

Geek squad is very helpful if I have a problem with my product

One of the smartest things I’ve ever purchased. Especially since about 90% of my gadgets and tech comes from Best Buy. The team had an incredible level of respect for my home. I definitely appreciate that.

If you get something that's as expensive as the surface with the possibility that you could drop it, something inside could go wrong or the battery could fail you want a warranty for protection.

I recommend always buying the Geek Squad protection just in case. The manufacturer warranty only covers defects and this protection covers everything unless I take it for a swim. It is well worth the cost.
