Luckily, I haven't had to use this protection yet, but having it gives me peace of mind just in case. The cost is worth the peace.

So far so good. Runs smooth. I’m not very computer friendly but I’ve managed to get through.

I absolutely love my accident policy with the Geek Squad! I have two teenage boys and accidents happen. It is wonderful to be able to drop it off and not stress about when things get broken. They have been very polite and easy to work with. For the most recent repair the service center sent it back two times with issues remaining, but the local store was great to work with and made it as pleasant as possible.

They replaced the computer after it failed in 6 weeks. That took a week (during which my daughter had no school computer). Then when checking out with the new computer I was asked if I wanted a repair plan. I responded that I had already paid for a four year repair plan. I was told that once a repair or replacement occurs the four year plan has been used and needs to be purchased again. So, buyer beware. A four year plan is only good till your computer breaks (even if it is the day after purchase), after which it is null and void.

Have used this in the past and a very good protection to have. Handles everything and makes sure your item is taken care of!best service compard to any olace else!

We haven’t needed any service calls with our new laptop, but I have been very happy with their service in the past. Very pleasant and helpful workers.

Haven’t used the service yet, but it’s good to know that I have Geek Sqaud behind me to help me with anything I come across Worked with Geek Sqaud before on several occasions and they have always treated me well. Geek Sqaud is the top of the line business for computer repair and advice.

I bought my computer with one year warranty accidental damage. I wanted to change it I couldn’t but they fixed it.

I have to admit I hope I don't have to use the service, but am relieved knowing the Geek Squad is available if the need arises.

I needed to utilize this insurance due to a computer issue. Completely worth purchasing initially. Will be purchasing moving forward

Havent had to use, thank goodness but i had one before on my tv. My tv kept messing up and they came out once to fix and it started messing up again less than a minth later. They replaced it with a bigger size brand new tv. It worked. Just didnt like that the insurance wouldnt be switched over to the new tv, but cancelled.

This protection ended up being a blessing. My daughter's laptop screen accidentally cracked within a month of purchase. The whole machine was marked as not fixable and was replaced at the store with no charge. It took a few hours at the store to actually make this happen but with a good result. Only thing questionable is why my 2 year protection was used completely when only one month was actually used. I could understand taking one year of the protection to make up for the unfixable pc but I think one year should have been reimbursed or put towards the new pc.

I have reassurance in case something happens to my laptop, and Geek Squad has provided great support for my previous tech, making it a reliable resource.

I got this protection from geek squad because well life happens. So far we haven't used it but for the cost for the peace of mind if something would happen to are products it a great value.

Though I didn't really need and use it, I'm glad I had the protection for just in case.

Best Buy determined my laptop met the criteria for replacement, since it completely failed after about 4.5 months of use. However, these warranties are STORE CREDIT or REPLACEMENT ONLY. The terms — which aren’t well presented and are buried in 500+ Q&A entries or an obscure online PDF — show that they do not do cash reimbursement. This is disingenuous. When you’re buying the warranty, the product page proudly lists all the benefits, but never mentions that they don’t do cash or check reimbursement. Why hide that fact unless you don't want people to see it? And it gets worse. The warranty (depot) people tell you to talk to the store for anything even remotely related to replacement or reimbursement. When you talk to the store, they tell you that if you want any change in your warranty reimbursement or resolution, you need to talk to the depot. It’s absurd, anti-consumer, and dubious. At best. And here’s another one: if you call your local store number— you get the main call center. You have to press the right buttons in the automated menu to talk to the right person in the right department, who will then transfer you to the store. Yes, you are, in fact, meant to get the runaround. They just want you in THE STORE. I will tell everyone: do not buy anything that requires a warranty from Best Buy. Valuable products need warranties, and once you buy one from them, you’re trapped in their ecosystem and forced to keep doing business with them in the future.
