Mac book pro hard drive crashed, geek Squad saved the day! all data recovered. They were very accommodating. No- brainer get the protection.

I purchased the 3-year warranty on a laptop. The display started doing some odd things. Since it didn’t do it for them they said they weren’t sure what it was. Apparently if I had paid for their membership they would have run diagnostics for free. If there turns out to be an issue with the display or the graphics card, they do not fix it in house. They would have to ship it off and it could take weeks to get back. I should have purchased the manufacturers extended warranty instead.

I think that for the price that I paid for Geek Squad, it is not worth it. I would prefer to have a plan that allows customers to replace items with newer items. Especially for the product a customer pays for. Overall accidental protection is great but is not really used for those who are very careful with their items

Fairly expensive protection plan, do your own cost benefit analysis. Needed for non techie types who get frustrated and spill or pound on computers
