The BestBuy protection plan isn't what it used to be. I had a computer a long time ago that my kids broke beyond repair and I went to the store and they fulfilled the plan on the spot. This time, my computer was obviously broken beyond repair but I was told it had to be sent to the service center regardless and at my cost of $85. I don't know when this changed but that's ridiculous. It would be 3 weeks before I heard anything back. I had to buy another computer on the spot because I couldn't be without one for that long. In the end they junked the computer, but the experience was not at all pleasant.

I get protection on all my purchases with Best Buy just in case

It comes in handy in case of any unwanted problems

They're amazing, went in due to a problem with a defect in the plasma and they resolved the issue so quick

The Geek Squad service plan is worth every penny, if your store has a good geek squad staff. They need to have reps who speak clear English with no dialect since this is technical discussions

Amazing , if anything happened to my lap top I can bring it in best buy and the gear squad takes care of the issue

The Geek Squad confirmed the lemon status of a third laptop in 2 weeks. Immensely grateful that they didn't put me through hours and hours over weeks discussion before replacing the laptop under warranty.

I like that it provides a variety of protection at a pretty decent value: especially IF I don't have to pay a deductible should anything happen. I don't think it covers loss/theft. and it doesn't cover animal urine ( interesting note in the T&C) I don't have pets but might be important for someone w dogs/cats/nervous hamsters.

No complaints but never used ultimately - knowing I had the protection and it seemed to be a decent cost to value ratio is why I’m giving 5 stars

Haven’t had to use the Geek Squad and hopefully don’t have to, but at ease knowing they are there for us

I needed additional protection for this computer especially since it is for my son who is going off to college. He can take it to a Best Buy near his college should something go wrong.

I have used the Geeek Squad additional coverage a few times. It has been easy and if the item could not be repaired it was replaced. I have experienced no problems.

Definitely woth it. I usually dont do the warranties, but this time I am so glad I did. Actually had to use it only a few months in.

Always good to know I have the Geek Squad Protection Plan just in case problems occur. It's worth paying the extra versus taking the chance of something happening and having to buy new versus it being fixed.

I purchased a laptop for my granddaughter that's 7 years old purchased the protection warranty Laptop screen cracked Geek squad replaced it with a new one

Glad I bought this 2 year insurance cus you just never know if I will need it later down the road!

Gives you a little comfort. So that's worth it. Warranties are always pricey. But it that way where ever you go

I have not had to use my protection, but everything that is included I have no doubts I will have any troubles.
