You can't go wrong with protection plans on anything these days, its better to be safe than sorry.

I HAVEN'T USED IT YET. FROM PAST EXPERIENCE THE 2 YEAR ACCIDENTAL GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION IS A GOOD THING TO HAVE

I purchased this when I purchased my laptop thinking I was covered if I needed assistance with anything. Boy was I wrong. I purchased dual screens to connect to the laptop and kept getting a "no power" message. I took the dual monitors and the laptop in to get assistance just to make sure it wasn't the laptop which I JUST purchased from them and was told I had to pay $40.00 for them to help me. Long story short, I was told that what I paid for only covered things such as the laptop not working, damaged etc. and even then, if it had to be sent out, it could take weeks to get it back. The technician still tried to help but his attitude said he didn't want to. Then he suggested that I purchase a power block with at least 40 watts, I purchased a power block at 60 watts and still have no resolution. I'm considering cancelling, it's just not worth it if I can't get simple assistance.

Everything thing I purchase from Best Buy i get the protection plan. It is so much better than other stores. I only wished they renew when expired.

I have had accidents with former laptops and devices so I am grateful for this plan. I hope I don't need it, but if I do, it seems I will be well protected!

This is a good protection plan if you need it for your situation. In our case, the product was used for school and we needed a quick turn around time if a accident happened.
