    Wow I called for assistance because my screen went black the Geek Squad guy asked if I had all my wires plugged in correctly on my laptop I then informed him again it was a laptop and only the power cord was plugged in kind of hard to reverse plug it if you understand. Then he wanted to know if my screen Was working after I just told him it was not. Wow! layoff the eggnog. Not happy at the moment.

    WOULDN'T EVEN HELP REPLACE A FAULTY CHARGER.

    I am LIVID. They have been giving me the run around since BEFORE CHRISTMAS when this charger went out. It is now the beginning of FEBRUARY and still no charger in site. It shows the people at the local Geek Squad put in the order but alas, still no charger. SO I AM BASICALLY PAYING MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON A $1000 PAPER WEIGHT WITH A WORTHLESS $300 GEEK SQUAD WARRANTY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO COVER LITERALLY ALMOST ANYTHING. With Great Buyer's Remorse, Tom

    I bought this Dell two years ago, and it no longer works. Unfortunately, I didn’t get extended warranty because I was sure it would last at least a good three years. I took it to Geek Squad, and it would cost more than the laptop to repair it.

    First day I made the appointment the subcontractor that never showed up nor did he call to inform, they reported to Best Buy "service completed". Second time, the installers came crack of dawn instead of the scheduled late afternoon time slot. The service was terrible, they did not complete the work, attempted to install the dishwasher over the dirt and dust saw they created (of course we stopped them), the service level, lack of expertise and poor attitude created a lost customer out of me. I will not extend my subscription to Geek Squad services any more.

    I had a chance to review already but I keep on buying the accidental protection for three or four devices now. At the end of the day it doesn't pay off. You pay 100 + 200 + or 300 + for them replacing your battery that if found in other stores is much cheaper than 100. Most of my experiences they either delay the device so warranty expires or fix and break other items, or don't fix issue.

    pointless rip-off, if they can't fix it, and trust me they will say they can't, they will charge you to replace your computer. You are paying them to charge you more. Get the extended warranty from the manufacture, they fix and return. As you an see this is my second review. Bought two laptops, both had issues that were manufacture defects, they changed me to replace them.. Charged enough I could have purchased another nice laptop.

    I don’t see what the point in geeksquad protection is other than to protect your screen maybe. I had my laptop for only a month when just regular plugging in and unplugging of the power cord lead to the outer metal cover of the male connector that you plug into the laptop came off and got stuck in the power port. Bestbuy said they would charge me to fix this issue.

    I feel bad, but I was receiving an error on my laptop and the geek squad couldn't figure it out so they told me they would replace my laptop. However, I got my laptop on sale so they wanted to charge me the extra money for the new laptop. I called Lenovo and got a protection plan with them instead. They fixed my laptop. It just wasn't updating properly. Disappointed in Geek Squad.
