    Misleading program. They tell you the GS will set up to 5 electronics at home up or make them compatible but then after you've purchased the package they tell you they do not come to your gon6e. Or charge more to come to your home.

    I had Geek Squad for my $1500 gaming computer. When it got spyware I called Geek Squad. I don't remember what their excuse was for not helping with my problem unless I had a few hundred dollars. What exactly DO they do?

    Geek Squad vis a vis Best Buy would not honor the 3 year plan on a replacement unit for defective computer I bought.

      Hi Jorge– If I’m reading your post correctly, your old computer was swapped out for a new unit under your Geek Squad Protection Plan. In that situation, the plan would be fulfilled, and if you wanted to continue coverage on your new product, a new plan would be needed.     I was having issues with my laptop that is under Best Buy two year warranty and was told by a Geek Squad member that I had to pay $200 to have my laptop serviced. He would not service the unit.

    Never got to use it. The computer broke when we turned it on for the first time and had to return it. Never got a refund for the protection. 29$ waisted!

    They have not been able to help me set up my new computer. My laptop came with S-mode. They were not able to help me with it. Very disappointed.

    Purchased this when I bought my laptop. I have never used it. Besides I think if something went wrong the first year wouldn’t the manufacturer cover it? To me, waste of money but I guess if I needed it, I would not feel that way

      Hi Leenie1014 – While most computers do come with a one-year warranty, our Geek Squad Protection plans cover things that the manufacturer does not. For example, your plan would cover drops and spills, while a manufacturer’s warranty will not. I hope that you’ll continue to purchase Geek Squad Protection Plans going forward.

    Would not recommend, it’s expensive and they will not honor claims. They will change the agreement if you try to make a claim.

    I'm a fan of the G Squad except for computers this insurance is ridiculously overpriced. It's hundreds of dollars with BB and a flat $99.99 at the warehouse. Hmm? Where should I buy my next laptop? That's how that went.

    This was a total rip off. I Broke my phone the week I got it and was told I had to pay 250 for a deductible to have it replaced. In addition I would have to repurchase the contract again since it was full filled with any full replacement. Later I found out that was incorrect.

    could be a good plan but what I needed and switched to was the Best Buy Plus so the techs could just transfer my data from old machine.

    Computer Protection warranty was horrible. I was told by customer service that they would repair the computer or exchange it. Geek Squard did not repair it, they didn't even try and they wouldn't exchange it.

    My laptop screen is cracked. Its passed my year extended warranty by a few months now. Was told when I purchased the warranty that I would be notified when the year was up and given the option to extend. That didn't happen, now out the 100+ dollars for the warranty along with now having to replace my laptop. Very disappointed.

    I contacted several times, they were very rude, not understanding and definitely will never invest in the Geek Squad again.
