I love the GSP plans that I buy i know that I have the peace of mind that I'm able to drop my device off and it either going to get fixed or replaced, but with Desktops and laptops they also offer data backup services which are critical, I always buy the protection plans cause once the one year MFG warranty expires your paying out of pocket and it gets expensive.

It's greta you guys, always get the protection plan because BEST BUY is the BEST when it comes to stuff like that! :)

I Purchase the Geek Squad Service, because I think that the protection I will received on my Lenovo Desk Top Computer will give me a peace of mind knowing that if anything go wrong the Geek Squad have me cover. The 3 - Year Protection Plan for $159.00 is a good price to pay for a peace a peace of mind.

I had to buy a new computer because my old All-in-One was using Windows 7, and Microsoft kept alerting me that they would no longer support that system. So, I purchased my new PC at Best Buy, and then took in my old computer and asked the Geek Squad to transfer all of my data to the new one. I had lots of files, including many email files, and I was worried because at first one of the associates told me that the emails couldn't be transferred. But then "Hutch" took over, and he was not only able to transfer all my files, he also set everything up for me and made sure that I understood how to use all of it. (And for an "older grandma" in her 70's, that was VERY important!) I can't thank Hutch enough for all of his help, and I highly recommend the Geek Squad for everything technical! (They'll even come out to your house and set up your TV for you!) Thanks, Hutch, and all of you Geeks!

Beautifully priced protection for such an expensive product.

Really happy with the geek squad protection. We bought it with my son’s gaming computer. Definitely would purchase this protection….just in case something happens.

I've been customer for many years and always my Squad to get my kids computers and software and much much more fixed if any issues. So when I get an issues the guys at the Squad are the ones who solve all my issues. Very happy to pay for my yearly service. Feel confident using all my devices/computers etc. knowing they are there for us.

It's nice to have a warranty like this for when something breaks down, and knowing that there are people I can talk to and work with directly when an expensive device I just bought starts having issues is certainly a reassuring thought. Though a warranty like this also depends on if it's actually needed and the skill of the Geek Squad member who deals with it. Generally, it's good to have but I wouldn't suggest getting it for every single purchase, just the really expensive ones!

I purchased this extended warranty for a desktop computer that was a gift for my nephew, which was a great decision. Around 18 months after purchasing the PC, the power unit went out and damaged other components in the process. My brother took it to Best Buy where they trouble shot the issue and offered a full refund for the machine since they deemed it unrepairable. For a purchase of this magnitude, I'd recommend the warranty. It wasn't that much more money and it was way less than replacing the computer out of pocket.

I have not had to use Geek Squad but it's good to know they are available.

Glad to have the option to add insurance to my expensive purchase. Gives you reassurance and peace of mind in case anything were to happen.
