    I don't think the Geek Squad employees are happy with their jobs. I have no plans on ever trying to use their services again. I understand people having bad days, but when an employee tries to treat me like I don't know what is good for my devices there is an issue.

    pricy but it might be nessasary...the cost for something i just already paid a grip for shudnt be as high

    Paid a lot of money for this and not using it due to the quarantine so I think the money was wasted.

    After 4 months of owning my lenovo laptop, the motherboard burned up. I took it to the geeks, they sent it for repair, came back in 2 weeks, and 20 minutes later, the motherboard burned up again. Sent it for repair again and told them "Don't just change the motherboard, something is wrong with the cooling unit". They burned 5 more motherboards. I asked them to call me at least 10 times, they never did. At the end a customer service rep told me it was my fault because the first year the warranty is covered by the manufacturer, not best buy. I told her that this was the first time I heard that, she just simply ignored me. I had to dispute the charge in my credit card and submit a BBB complain to get somebody from Best Buy to call me. The only thing I got is that they did a partial refund of the purchase. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING related to the geek squad again.

    There is no diagnostic tech support with this program, be sure to read details of what you are buying. No tech support or protection on this program for hardware or software issues..... You still have to go back to store with all equipment to get warranty item support

    I hate how hard it is to make it thru their phone screening to talk to a knowledgeable person. They told me that i would need to bring the computer to the store for repairs so i bought a onsite repair by hp for 118 dollars and just decided that I had waisted 250 on the geek squad contract.

    The geek squad service is great. But the service is rather expensive. If the cost was more reasonable, I would rate them higher on value.

    My usual experience with Geek Squad is usually positive in terms of what they’ll do to compensate for you, however many times all geek squad usually does is to check and diagnose issues that a consume may run into, and if it is something they cannot fix on their end they’ll ship it to the manufacture to fix it, but that is where the nightmare begins because it seems that your item gets passed on to some folk who don’t care about preserving the quality of you item and will usually treat it with carelessness. My 3 instincts of sending my PC out to fix a blue screen resulted in broken parts, scratch marks and broken cables.

    I brought my Desktop Computer in for its first repair as part of a 3 year plan. After calls with 13 different agents, minimal updates and 35 days later, I was given a refund for my item as they couldn’t source parts for the repair and didn’t have a similar item in stock to switch out for me. The stress this service caused was absolutely not worth having it. Agents in store/online have no idea what the service center is looking at and vice versa. I Would not purchase again. The only positive is that I did receive a full refund of the original purchase price of my item plus tax, but no credit for my protection plan was refunded, even though no repairs were completed and I only had the plan for 1.5 out of 3 years.

    Brought back dead pc with 3 yr geek squad 24hrs after receiving it and the would not fix, only option was turn it in. Not pleased about it as it was a Black Friday deal and they had no more. Out of stock still.
