    When I bought my phone, I asked to keep my equipment coverage with Verizon and was told that I had to get my coverage through the Geek Squad now instead. Now after 6 months I see that I am getting billed for both. When I called BB to find out what was going on, I got sent from one person to the next, and as of right now I have been on hold for 1 hour and am hanging up. Best Buy used to be one of my favorite stores but I may be done with them now.

    Horrible...I was having problems with my phone charging. I brought it in to see if they can check the problem and they said its better if im insured through my carrier..lol! Wht a joke..you're telling me I've been paying u every month for 7 months for absolutely nothing..highly recommend not getting geeksquad ever!..put tht into your savings instead!

    best buy employee helped with my phone insurance

    I was told by a best buy employee that I had complete coverage on my phone.When my phone was stolen I went to file a claim and was told that I didn't have the coverage. Because of the fault of the employee I had to pay the remainder balance on my phone,$500. And had to put $500 down on a new phone. I was lied too by the employee and forced to pay a ton of money in the end. 100% unsatisfied!!

    They try to explain how getting insurance through the store instead of tour mobile carrier is so much better, but it's the same. The workers are so quick to tell you $8.99 but then you find out it's close to $10 a month (because of taxes).

    I'm not sure i would take this option again. When you do have a problem, they really aren't interested. If your item needs to be fixed chances are you are going to have to leave it with them

    I've been paying 8.99 for phone protection and the store associate that helped me said I can use it to replace my screen if it breaks. I went to the store and they told me I had to pay $200 and recieve a new phone and return my old one. I was very upset because for the last year and a half I've been paying this fee of 8.99 for absolutely no good reason.

    NOT WORTH IT!!! for cracked screens

    The price of the coverage + deductible is more than the cost just to repair a cracked screen. The phone is replaced with a refurbished phone. Therefore, you have to download all your apps and setup all your accounts again. Way more hassle than just having the screen repaired.

    Did not honor the protection. I will never purchase the protection thru this agency never again. Took my business elsewhere. Too much of a hassle. You buy merchandise in one store should not have to travel over 45miles to another store to receive help are call 1800 number not what i was told

    Plan expired after 2 years without notifications

    Although I never used the service, I was very disappointed to find out that the plan was only good for 2 years. My monthly payments even stopped being withdrawn from my credit card before the 2 year expiration date. I only found this out on the 3rd year when I got a new phone and decided I needed to cancel my protection plan that I never used. Good thing I bought a new phone because the old phone needed repairs.

    Geek squad has failed to successfully install Office to my new computer. And I had to wait over 2 hours, twice in one week for them to try and make this installation. Plus they had to make several attempts to transfer photos and info from my old computer to my new one. I don’t think they were successful with that either. If Best Buy wants to “make this right”, they can send someone to my home, without charging me, to fix these problems.

    Im losing faith in the Geek Squad claim. They have still not provided a gift card for settlement amount in lieu of ability to repair. So I've lost my product and Best Buy Geek Squad isn't backing their program.

    I Love Geek Squad at Best Buy. I feel assured knowing they will walk me through my tech issues. I buy all my electronics at Best Buy because of the protection and support plans.

    Cracked my screen and Geek Squad wants to charge a $200 deductible. I was told it was going to be $29 because that's what Sprint and AT&T's insurance cost. Not happy. I thought Best Buy's insurance would be better, but nope. Should of gone with AT&T.

    She paid over $300 for extended warranty for her phone. It breaks and she has to pay another $200 plus put a hold of 700 on card until she sends the broken one back in.

    Ended up switching to the Verizon insurance for my phones. Didnt want to pay $200 to replace my phone when it was just a few cracks.

    Cell Phone warranty plan

    I canceled cell phone warranty plan that I purchased using combination of rewards points and credit card. I was told leftover points would be returned to my account but was told today that was not the case and my points will not be returned.
