    If there was an option to put zero stars I would. This is complete false advertisement and a scam. I purchased a 2 year plan at the time i purchased a ALLY ROG. I was told that it was a replacement plan covering all malfunctions as well as accidental damage. My device was overheating, lagging and running incredibly slow not even 45 days after purchase. I brought it to the Lakeland store looking to replace the clearly malfunctioning device. I was told that they changed their policy and would not honor the warranty that i purchased also i had to pay them to extend the timeframe for a return. Needless to say I will never purchase another warranty and possibly never another item period from bestbuy specifically because of this tricky wording and dishonesty.

    When you bought insurance from best buy it used to mean something. now its a joke my asus rog ally left stick stopped working properly. When i checked it in theu blamed me said i voided warrenty. Didnt even do anything at that point. Now iam looking at more then a month before i get it back. They used to replace it on the spot. Missing out on starfield. They were rude and extremely unhelpful hopefully i will get it back in a few months. I will never buy any kind of insurance from bestbuy again.

    I bought a ROG Ally. The guy who sold it to me at Best Buy said I could mail it in if anything happened to it because I live on Hawaii island and bought it in Honolulu. So I bought the geek squad protection plan. Well guess what? I can’t mail it in because it’s small enough to carry to a store! I can only schedule an appointment and physically have to take into the store. So if I want to fix it, I have to fly back to Oahu.

    Took in my first one it was doa geek sqaud took a few weeks and i got it back with alot of damage including a screen scratch luckily i took photos when i dropped it off because they tried to say i brought it in that way

    A defective unit should not void my GSP. Not employees fault but a policy's fault. So if I don't become a member I can't return a defective unit after 15 days is bs. This one's going on my Google review.

    No Mail-In Option for Service

    I had to cancel because you cannot mail in the device for service. I love 2 hours away from the nearest Bestbuy. Other coverage plans, like AppleCare offer a mail in option.

    Ally Rog and Youtube videos is the best solution

    I received the Ally Rog. The problem was the updates and adding my Microsoft account to my Ally Rog. The system ask for the Bitlocker numbers. I had no keyboard to add the numbers to my account. I went to youtube to learn how to delete windows. You tube has shown two ways to delete windows 11. My Ally Rog would not play any games. Best Buy offered 30 days of Game Pass ultimate. However, i was granted 3 months. This conflict has cause the games to error out. Once i installed window again, the Ally Rog handheld console worked with no issues. Then i had another problem with the 1 Tb ssd card. It would not add the game. You must format ssd to NTFS in windows. After I formatted the ssd card to NTFS. I had no problems downloading. I started downloading and playing games with no problems. Therefore, I had kept the Ally Rog, thanks to Youtube.

    Install Decky Loader with Hue Sync

    Despite not having an OLED screen, the resolution and size more than make up for it. The lights around the triggers create too much glare in the dark and cannot be controlled. However, you can easily install Decky Loader with the Hue Sync plugin to control these lights.

    Absolutely remarkable piece of hardware. I really write reviews. It's a little bulky but it gives you a very solid feel I'm going to enjoy this. I'm mostly a retro emulator person but I can confidently say that this will run a lot of my PC games

    If others can review this 1 star for no reason, I'll do the same for 5! This device shows great promise and Asus has actively been making improvements to the software. Their company has a negative track record of customer service, so we'll see once the device is out. I will edit this to reflect a true review once I get my hands on it Tuesday!

    Geek Squad service and the Best Buy warranties are amazing. They will literally fix, have it fixed, or replace it. All this is done in a timely fashion. The price may seem steep to some but I disagree especially if you only grab a one or two year warranty. I look at it like this, do I want to repurchase the item or pay less than half the price for my warranty? The answer is obvious to me but some customers will find out the hard way. I hope you take my advice and at least grab a one year warranty especially with fragile electronics. I hope you are using a surge protector!

    I wanted to love this

    I watched YouTube videos for tips and tricks. I installed GOG with few issues, and controller based games were fine. I spent hours fighting with Xbox Game Pass because of the UI. I finally gave up. On the second day, an update was applied, and a Bitlocker screen showed up upon restart. After too much time, I discovered that the volume button would bring up the virtual keyboard. My biggest complaint is the UI. I couldn't just use the controller because the mouse pointer (and functionality) would disappear. I'm returning it after less than a day of actual use.
