I like that it provides a variety of protection at a pretty decent value: especially IF I don't have to pay a deductible should anything happen. I don't think it covers loss/theft. and it doesn't cover animal urine ( interesting note in the T&C) I don't have pets but might be important for someone w dogs/cats/nervous hamsters.

I have always purchased Geek squad protection on every laptop I have ever purchased at Best buy and there have been many as all of us in the family use them and buy new ones every year to couple years. I have had to use the protection several times and was extremely happy with the service.

The best part is the 2 year warranty covers the screen if it is ever damaged, along with repairs not covered by HP itself.

Always add the Geek Squad protection, well worth the extra dollar.
