    My laptop charger stopped working and its supposed to be covered by this protection plan. When I called, I got transferred to a sales rep who apparently though I didn't know how to use an online shopping tool and that's why I called. After I reiterated that I had called to get my charger replaced, I was placed on another hold and then after another 15 minutes of waiting, the call was disconnected. This was also my second attempt to get through to an agent. I also tried using their call back tool, but only ever received an automated call that told me they hadn't been able to get to me when they said they would. Maybe this works when you can go into the stores, but I've received no actual help or coverage now that I can't get into a store due to covid. Don't bother buying protection from BestBuy, they're not going to cover you when you need it.

    This insurance is a scam. They sell it by telling you that they can repair your computer in store if it gets broken and if not they will replace it. This is not what they do. My son is a college sophomore and recently cracked the screen on his computer making it inoperable. We made an appointment at a local Best Buy and he took it into the store, The staff was rude including the GM and my son was told that it was not bad enough to replace and that they couldn't fix it in the store. The solution they offered was to send it out to be fixed and he was told he could expect his computer to be gone 7 - 30 days!!! He asked if there was a way to borrow a computer while his device is being repaired and was told absolutely not. I purchased this insurance, against my better judgement, anticipating that something like this might happen and unfortunately my better judgement was correct. Calls to their offices were not productive as the robots that answer the phone there would only regurgitate corporate talking points to me.
