I decided to go with the two year warranty on my kindle hd8 simply because there's not a decent case available and I felt it was a bit too hard to hold onto, so if dropped I knew it would be covered. Hope I don't need it but it was inexpensive so why not

Be aware that once you’ve used the plan to replace a broken or defective product, the plan is fulfilled and you must (if you wish to protect the new item) repurchase with the replacement product. The best warranty around i always get the warranty i have hundreds of them and if something brake or not working right it is easily replaced, please get the warranty when buying from bestbuy it's worth it
