Great script and unsettling atmosphere, plus a great performance by John Goodman add up to a science fiction classic. Too bad the sequel turned out to be such a disappointment.

This film wasn't bad or anything. It was quite good but has its moments of just a bad film. Fortunately the good outweighs the bad. But the title is a bit misleading and doesn't have to much in common with the film "Cloverfileld".

Really enjoy watching this movie. There are a lot of subtleties that take a second viewing to pick up on. The whole movie is like a roller coaster ride that keeps you guessing till the end. Highly recommend for thriller/drama/sci-fi fans or original content.

I wasn't sure about this movie as the original Cloverfield was only so so, in my opinion. However, John Goodman and the rest of the cast were amazing. Lots of twists and turns and surprises. The last few minutes blew me away. I am soooo glad that I bought this movie.

Go ahead and guess during the movie u will change ur mind 10 times and still b wrong, that's what makes this movie great whatever I think is going on changes from scene to scene only to leave u completely blown away in the end

I could not believe after watching this movie, that John Goodman would play a role like this. But, it was an exciting movie that always kept you involved to see what was going to happen and what the end would be. Very different.

Saw this in the theatre and you had an early idea, but wasn't completely sure where it was going. The later reveal was kind of expected, but quite worth the ride and an enjoyable film!!! Great acting, suspense and fun to watch!

Pretty decent movie. I watched it with people that had never seen the first one so it was fun to watch them try to figure it out! I would recommend watching this one first and then Cloverfield. John Goodman is a great actor!

If you like sitting on the edge of your seat and throwing a blanket over your head this is the movie for you. Great start to the movie but has a not so great ending. Definitely a good one to pick up and add to the collection.

Loved all the movies purchased. I am an ardent collector. Have at least 650 DVD. and also 1000 Laser disc. Purchase most of my colletion at Best Buy. Problem is that you are nor carrying many movie tittles. Condensing space.

10 Cloverfield Lane is a modern suspense filler thriller that leaves you begging for more. Just when you think you have figured out the plot and characters, the story takes a right turn you don't see coming. Very entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This movie is somehow both a sequel and highly original. It is vastly different (and better) than the original and the other sequel. It keeps you on your toes even after multiple viewings: a rare feat.

This movie is pretty creepy and absolutely original. Good acting and a lot of suspense with some good twists. Keeps you wondering what's going on for a while into the story! Not the best movie I've seen but still pretty good.

The movie throws twists and turns so much that when you find out what's going on you're thrown for a loop. Definitely hard to predict what's going on which is a plus to me with how many movies are so predictable these days.

10 Cloverfield Lane is fantastic. It jumps into the story and does not insult the viewer's intelligence by explaining every little detail. The visual clues and background audio (radio for example) are there. The acting is spot-on. I highly recommend this film.

This is a really good sci-fi, apocalyptic movie. The characters are well cast, and the movie is adept at making you periodically guess who the established protagonist and antagonist really is (Are they evil? Or good? Or both?) with no predictable ending,

This film focuses on 2 individuals during the Cloverfield invasion. John Goodman as always is fantastic. It is a character study rather than the more action-oriented Cloverfield film. Creepy!

I'm sorry, I know that you kept hearing that there was a connection between this movie and the original Cloverfield, but other than the title you won't find one. The first 3/4 of the movie was pretty good. John Goodman creeped me out like no other actor ever has in this sort of role, except for maybe Kathy Bates in Misery. Without spoiling it, I felt that the last 1/4 of the movie was poorly done. There are still plot holes from the beginning portion left open that they could have used that film footage for and made this even better, but instead they took a strong left turn and the movie kind of careens off into a ditch.

Marvelous sequel to Matt Reeves' original, and much better. Beautifully directed by Dan Trachtenberg at times reaching near-Hitchcock status in suspense, with great performances, especially from Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Don't miss this!

You are never quite certain who is crazy and what is going on until the end. John Goodman does a great job! Just about the time you think he is nuts, something happens to say otherwise. It is a roller coaster effect.
