I always enjoyed watching John Goodman in the movies.This was a departure for him but was still well done.

Much improved suspense mystery film which improves on the cult film. Better cinematography, writing and character development make for an enjoyable thriller.

This was a good (sort of) sequel to Cloverfield. Looking forward to the next one. John Goodman was great.

First 3/4 of the movie really have nothing to do with the first movie, IMO. Could've called it "Crazy Kidnapper Survivalist" and could've been its own standalone movie w/o even mentioning Cloverfield. Last 20 mins is when it heats up with alien stuff. Sorry if these are spoilers but if you haven't seen the first movie, you can still watch and not be too terribly lost.

John Goodman is simply fantastic in this movie! Steals the show in my opinion. Great sequel to Cloverfield. Can't wait till the 3rd movie comes out.

More of a suspense/thriller than anything else. And I'm still a fan of Goodman after all these years.

I loved this movie! It's the first time in a long while that the suspense led to a surprise and great finale. Totally unexpected a robust plot turns.
