The tension between the stories two principle characters is the stuff that really holds this movie together throughout its course. Its fittingly casted, the story is very well-acted, it is filled with emotion and fear, the directorship is superb and the Dolby ATMOS sound effects materially add to the story-telling realism.

This was über creepy. John Goodman play and totally different role than I'm used to seeing him in. I was never sure if he was good or bad up to the very end. And then...PLOT TWIST! It kept me on the edge of my seat all throughout the film. Very good.

No dancing around - this IS a sequel or parallel story to Cloverfield. This movie was compelling all the way through, taking you back and forth with the truth just like the characters. My only problem with the ending was OD on action - that's Hollywood.

John Goodman does a superb job and overall the movie was enjoyable with several twists. Be warned though that this has little if any connection with the first Cloverfield although I understand a third movie is planned that would tie them together.

Cloverfield certainly had its ups and downs, while shot from the "first person perspective the trailer was more exciting than the actual movie. 10 Cloverfield help build on the first movie while offering amazing performance by John Goodman,

The movie has a slow start. Not really knowing what is going on and seems like John Goodman is just a creeper. Things get more intense and more exciting toward the second half of the movie. The ending is a bit odd but not bad.

Unfortunately I already knew, so it took a little bit of the surprise out of it. Still loved it though. Great acting and the story keeps you intrigued and guessing. Recommended for thriller fans. Blu-ray video and audio is excellent.

Great script and unsettling atmosphere, plus a great performance by John Goodman add up to a science fiction classic. Too bad the sequel turned out to be such a disappointment.

Pretty decent movie. I watched it with people that had never seen the first one so it was fun to watch them try to figure it out! I would recommend watching this one first and then Cloverfield. John Goodman is a great actor!

If you like sitting on the edge of your seat and throwing a blanket over your head this is the movie for you. Great start to the movie but has a not so great ending. Definitely a good one to pick up and add to the collection.

Loved all the movies purchased. I am an ardent collector. Have at least 650 DVD. and also 1000 Laser disc. Purchase most of my colletion at Best Buy. Problem is that you are nor carrying many movie tittles. Condensing space.

This movie is somehow both a sequel and highly original. It is vastly different (and better) than the original and the other sequel. It keeps you on your toes even after multiple viewings: a rare feat.

This movie is pretty creepy and absolutely original. Good acting and a lot of suspense with some good twists. Keeps you wondering what's going on for a while into the story! Not the best movie I've seen but still pretty good.

The movie throws twists and turns so much that when you find out what's going on you're thrown for a loop. Definitely hard to predict what's going on which is a plus to me with how many movies are so predictable these days.

If you like suspense/thriller movies then you need to watch this. The film does not focus too much on the sci-fi angle but that doesn't matter because the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great acting by John Goodman and the rest of the cast. One of my favorite movies of 2016.

I really enjoyed this movie. This was one I wanted to see, but waited for the blue ray because it was too slow paced to see in the theater. If you were like me, now is the time to pick it up. Price has gone down.

this was not a great movie, it could of been a much better movie, if they would have stay away from the clover field movie, it was much better and there was really no monster til the end and it like 2 second...

I enjoyed this movie. Plenty of twists in the plot that had me not trying to figure out what would happen next. The ending was not what I was expecting. This is not a true sequel to the first Cloverfield movie.

If you can call it a sequel to "Cloverfield," this comes pretty close. With JJ Abrams and crew at it again, the tone of the original movie strikes a new note with this ever-suspenseful thriller. John Goodman is a brilliant, driving force in this award-worthy performance.

I found this to be better than the original clover field and suspenseful at points. Confused at what exactly was happening at others, thinking to myself that is. However I did not care for the ending really.
