nintendo lost my money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was happy that best buy had a discount for nintendo gift card. After entering the code, I checked my account and it had $50 and then I turn off my console. Next week later, I checked my account again, my account had $0 dollars and we threw our trash away. Of course, I was checking everywhere in the room for the gift card but no luck. I don't know what happen but it was disappointing that it was near the holidays and I couldn't purchase any of the discount games.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate nintendos eshop because you cant transfer stuff, its slow and stuff is way over priced. I only bought this for christmas for a little kid because it was on sale. Otherwise Id never spend money on nintendo digital goods.

Not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these hoping to buy games online but like most game currency there's always something left over, or not enough to spend on what you want. Plus you can add money on the Nintendo store instead of buying a card

Didn't Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cards had a problem entering them into the 3DS. The Nintendo website would not take the balance. Had to return to Bestbuy and got new cards and those didn't work either.

Still needs work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo system was overloaded at Christmas was what we were told. A week later, the codes still wouldn't work. My son was then given new codes to use and to not use the cards at all.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't redeem this card, total loss of $'s. My grandson loves eCards, but was very disappointed when this gift wouldn't redeem no matter how many times we tried.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this and it wasn't activated. I never heard back from customer support. I'm sure most people won't have this issue but just a heads up when buying gift cards.

A Little More for Your Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gift card is nice because not only does it serve its purpose as a way to turn cash into Nintendo eShop credit ready to give to someone (or yourself), but it also grants you access to a cute, little distraction in the form of an augmented reality app. This app, which works with the special AR card that comes with this and similar Nintendo eShop gift cards, gives you the opportunity to take pictures of the Mushroom Kingdom's Princess Peach right in your living room, bedroom, lawn, or anywhere else in the real world. You can even include yourself in the picture and finally fulfill that lifelong dream of taking a selfie with the perpetual damsel! There isn't much depth to the app, but it should provide a few minutes of amusement, at least. If you are considering purchasing an eShop gift card, and the recipient is a fan of Peach or Super Mario in general, this is a great choice; might as well get the gift that offers a little something extra for no extra price, right?

A Little More for Your Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With this gift card, you also get a special card that, with the free associated Nintendo 3DS/2DS app, allows you to augment reality and place a Koopa Troopa right in front of you--at least on the game system's screen. While this is not especially substantial, it's still amusing to look at and take pictures of. The best part is that this is all for no extra charge, so for only $10 you are getting the same amount of Nintendo eShop credit and a new, little Koopa friend, to boot. If you are buying for a younger fan or someone who loves Mario or augmented reality, this is certainly the gift card to go with.

Works without error
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I buy these occasionally at Best Buy. I hate typing in my credit card on my 3DS or Wii U ...over and over...because I don't want my financial information saved. With these cards you can get credit and just enter a string of 16 characters for redemption. It's not out of your way to buy these when you may already be visiting Best Buy anyhow. Just make sure your cashier scans the card *TWICE*. The scan for activation is separate from the scan to ring it up. Your receipt should show a line of text confirming 'ACTIVATION SUCCESSFUL' underneath each prepaid card you buy.

A must for digital purchases; Especially on sale!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every discount helps when spending on luxuries! Best Buy is the only place I know of that has easily accessible eshop cards on sale relatively frequently. If you don't like paying with a credit card on the eshop, using a prepaid card is the way to go. The only drawback is never being able to spend exactly to the cent what the software costs. Luigi was on the $35 card I bought. I only wish that such a small item wasn't shipped by UPS!
