It is not a very big room so I didn't want to go with anything to extravagant, that would require me to run wires or have a bunch of speakers all over the room. So I decided to go with a sound bar set up. When you connect the sub to the sound bar the base is just simply way too much. You can adjust it a little but but this combo does not allow much audio tuning. You are kind of limited on how you can modify the settings. The base from the sub is not punchy and it almost overpowers a lot of the dialogue that is coming from the sound bar. I ended up returning the sub and kept the sound bar. The sound bar with out the sub works for me.
