    Can't control the level of bass. Have the volume on 25 to get decent bass(with a mild rumble) on any audio setting. Now I have to have a screaming sound bar to get decent bass. Being returned.

    I purchased this with my TCL series 6 TV last week as suggested by the Best buy while checking out. Box states that it pairs with other Roku products including TV. After setting up TV, i opened the box, pluged it in and begun the pairing process. Come to find out in the 2nd step of the onscreen setup, you have to have a sound bar or other speakers for this to work. Total waste of time and because of this BB suggestion and the poor start guide instructions i had to teturn it and now they get to lose money on it selling as sn open box. Maybe it should only be sold with other speakers to avoid this issue

      The Wireless Subwoofer is designed to be an expansion of the audio Roku ecosystem. For this reason, it requires either a Roku Streambar, Roku Streambar Pro, Roku Smart Soundbar, or Roku TV with Roku Wireless Speakers.

    I was very disappointed with this product! After installation of the subwoofer, it caused problems with my TV, sound bar and remote control that didn’t exist before. The quality of the sound is now poor and there seems to be no way to fix it. The sound speed increases rapidly at the start of a program or video; the remote control doesn't function the way it did before; and the whole sound quality has degraded. The sound is muffled but improves after the first minute into every program, but until then you must adjust the volume for better word recognition.

    Bought this to increase sound quality of the TV and Sound Bar. It will not pair, I thought the first one I bought must have been defective. But this one does the same thing. I think this must have something to do with the TV being a 4 series 55S425 and there isn't help to get any answers. No customer service

    Subwoofer vibrates during setup but has never vibrated after that. At this point, it is pretty useless.

    After ditching my satellite provider, I had to replace my old home theater system that not compatible with my new streaming devices. After reading mostly positve reviews, there were a few reviews that spooked me. Well, I can easily say, I was floored by the sound booming from this subwoofer. The whole family and I watched one the latest blockbuster action movies in our family room, and the entire room was shaking during most of the scenes. I also purchased the ROKU sound bar as well, and I don't know if there is a better value out there for the money. It was very easy to set up, and I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for quality home theater system!!!!!!

    Was easy to setup and came very well packed (even double boxed!) I had to hunt around a bit in the Hitachi Roku TV software to add a speaker, but once I did it configured within minutes. Even performed an automatic firmware update! I can say that this little guy adds a bit more bass to my existing Roku powered speakers, but not really what I expected from a sub - especially in comparison with another 10" stand alone sub. There are no adjustments in either gain/volume/frequency anywhere.

    I was so excited to get this system because I love Roku. The sound bar and speakers were very nice. This subwoofer is beyond unacceptable. I had to pick in up and put it to my ear to see if it was even functioning. Save yourself the return hassle and skip it.

      Hi ChristineD, this is certainly not the experience we would hope for you to have and we want to help! When it comes to speakers and subwoofers, proper placement is key.

      We might suggest putting your subwoofer in front of the room, to the right or left of the TV as this typically provides the best blending with the higher frequencies generated by your other Roku audio device(s). However, as you are a bass-lover, try placing your subwoofer in a corner or closer to a wall. This typically produces louder bass!

      A quick tip, each user can fine-tune their listening experience—try navigating to "sound modes" and try selecting "Bass boost" to enhance the deep bass sound you're looking for. We hope this helps! -Roku Customer Advocate roku
