Full disclosure: I am a disabled Combat Vietnam Veteran. One thing that is NEVER found on the battlefield is "political correctness". One thing that IS found is TRUTH, in many forms. TRUTH is often abrupt, merciless, and often ugly on the fields of battle. This production presented the TRUTH about the bravery of the defenders of our American Consulate and showed how our so-called "leaders" LIED to the American people. This should be in every American home. The production value was very high and an excellent movie from a dramatic point of view.

This is an outstanding movie. The actors in this movie are excellent. I highly recommend this movie.

The movie provides the perspective of contractors hired for protection of a government outpost in Libya during the midst of an overnight uprising. It is an account of the incident that resulted in the death of the US Ambassador to Libya. It's an engaging triller that provides a mixed perception of the military.. It raises question about its response. there is expected poetic license. However, it indicates the gallantry of the contractors in their effort to save the lives of diplomatic and apparent CIA personnel stationed their. It properly does not demonize anyone and serves to properly characterize the real risks of being stationed overseas as a civilian and portrays some of them as being heroic and well trained. Others are not treated that well. It also identifies the frustration created by the incident that has been publicized. It is adult viewing be cause of the serious and at time graphic depiction of the incident. It is an engaging viewing experience.

Awesome action throughout the entire movie and since it deals with political topics of today it keeps your interest throughout the entire film

Outstanding movie. Sad, sad story, but highlights the bravery of true patriots. Incredible price.

Too bad it doesn’t give details of what went on back at State Dept

This movie is based on the real battle in Benghazi from the accounts of those Americans who fought it, which is quite different than what politicians told us ! The movie is alive with what contractors see far enough in advance to save those in denial. This was manifested in town meetings and daily interactions with townspeople as well as superiors in the US compounds. This movie should enrage you about what American fighters (protectors) were up against, their reactions, and lastly the absolute lies told surviving family members !!

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. This is a real good movie and based on a true event.

This kept me engaged from beginning to end. Yes, I know this is Hollywoods version, but we do not have any concept of what our men and women go through over seas in conflicts. And this is another great movie to help us realize some of what they go through. I liken this to Black Hawk Down, but better. I loved the snipits at the end from the real survivors of this avoidable incident. Interesting timing with the Presidential Race, and one of the survivors speaking out against our politician who claims innocence....Real Life Drama!

If you don't own this movie, then you should!!! I watch it over and over. Great movie!!!

This was an action thrilled movie that packed a punch and it showed what it's like to be in the shoes of any military person.

13 Hours dramatizes a historic event from the perspective of dedicated soldiers and foreign service personnel. For the sake of action and marketing, some events were altered and added to advance the narrative and reflect the tension of the environment without going into 2000 years of history. If you enjoy military stories like Lone Survivor, Act of Valor, or The Hurt Locker, you will really like the performances, pacing and action in 13 Hours. It is a story of heroes and sacrifice that should not be missed...or forgotten.

This is an outstanding movie about dedicated special U.S. military people and their teamwork under extreme duress.

I saw it in the movies. Funny and sad. Amazing, never know what to believe . I would suggest for people to see. Judge for yourself ..

No matter the political side this movie speaks to you if you care about the US military. Left behind to survive on their own. Hopefully told as much as possible as fact. If majority is factual I really hope the military brass and politicians learned from the mistake they made. I could watch this multiple times. Take away it all if you are into miltary action. It is good. Get a good feel for characters and timeline is put together well. Plus what military vets sacrifice.

Excellent movie. Edge of seat thrilling, yet extremely sad.

Listen up, if you own black hawk down you have to add this to your collection. I'm more of 3d movie buff, but I really enjoy a good action movie, especially when it involves realism. Both movies were based on true events and if you enjoy heroism, explosions and gunfights its a must own. So if you don't own a copy go pick it up now, don't know where it fits in my top action collection, but lets put it like this if black hawk down is number 1, then this probably is interchangeable. I hope this review helps someone.

What a GREAT FILM! Very intense and action filled. Sad that is based on a true story. I find it hard to believe that The government of the greatest country in the world could let our military down the way they did.
