It's nice to see an action movie that gives a side to the Benghazi that wasn't brought out in the press releases. I would like to think that the story is somewhat accurate to what actually happened. If true, the story presented showed an impossible situation that was handled with incredible bravery despite the circumstances.

This had plenty of action. I had to add it to my Vudu so that I can watch it again. Loved it.

This is the story of the attack on the diplomatic outpost in Benghazi Libya. Politics aside, it raises some serious questions about the immediate response of our government and the story line that was pushed following the attack. The film revolves around the CIA contractors (all ex soldiers) stationed at a black ops site roughly a mile away from the diplomatic compound. As imagined, Michael Bay does what he does best, blow stuff up. The film attempts to tap into that feeling of Brothers in Arms. You wish the characters had more interpersonal development but that's not what the film is about. The film depicts a heroic effort by our soldiers doing all they can to protect fellow Americans. It's brutal, forceful, and sorrowful. You also wonder why Jim from the Office is holding a gun. John Krasinski shows off some impeccable dramatic range. This movie is worth your time.

Over all I was thrilled to watch it keep me on the edge it has a lot of action not the fighting one more like guns but entertaining to watch.

Saw in theaters, purchased Blu-Ray and watch when on cable TV. Wanted the enhanced clarity of 4D.

A Michael Bay movie that doesn't suck and looks great. It's a no brainier at it's price also

This is a well scripted and extremely well acted film about the attempted defense of the CIA compound during the Islamic terrorist attack on a US consulate safe house in Benghazi. While the film stays away from the political snafu's that led to the attack and the lack of support they received, it does focus well on the members of the security team - former military/special forces - working for the CIA that defended the compound and the two who gave their lives in doing so. The film also gives a nice background to the team members, showing their regular lives, families, etc., which gives the viewer a better idea as to who these men were and makes it a more personal movie, not one which simply focuses on the combat action at the compound. On that note, the film gives the viewer a very good idea what special forces members are capable of and how well they fight, especially against unbelievably overwhelming odds, that gives one a good accounting of our armed forces, their skill, experience and dedication. Despite the tragic outcome of the Benghazi incident, this is an excellent film and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Even though a Michael Bay film is hit or miss. This is one of his films thats worth while ..
