An excellent war thriller with an incredible Cinematography twist - it was filmed to appear as if it was done in only 2 takes with no cuts. Its incredible how they pulled that off. Outside of that it is a visually stunning feature that I have to recommend to anyone who likes this genre.

I saw this in the theater, and was amazed at the Cinematography the one continuous cut aspect that the film delivered, so when it became available to purchase I had to get it to can see when and where the sequences stopped and started, very clever filming and editing, should have won an Oscar for best picture

I would put this movie in the same OUTSTANDING catagory as Saving Private Ryan with fantastic photography and a deep story line. All wars are ugly but this moive, like Saving Private Ryan, drives home how fragile life really is.

The story is great, but what REALLY makes this film worth owning is the stunning visuals in this impeccable 4K transfer. You really have to own this and it will easily become one of your "show-off your 4K set films".

Solid film, it’s an unexpected adventure to adrenaline rush at every turn in the film. I’ve watched it more than once and it always feels like a great film. I would say it’s a race against time in a way but you’ll have to see it to really appreciate the masterful work done in the film.

The movie 1917 is unbelievable. It gives such a personal touch as you follow the two characters through their adventure. Makes you feel as if you were there. Not only that, it gives you s sense of the struggles that come from within,

I ever got to see this in theaters, but snagged this and it was beautiful in 4K. Filmed masterfully, as it looks like it was filmed in one single shot. It really makes you feel like you're side by side with the characters as you follow along their journey.

Easily one of the best 4K releases of 2020! 1917 provides a beautiful picture and outstanding sound that will have you feeling like bullets are flying around your home theater! This is a great desk to demo the capabilities of 4K and is definitely a step up over the Blu-ray release!

'1917' for me is Sam Mendes best work so far, I enjoyed the movie in theaters and was excited to pick it up and play it again at home. The cinematography in this film is second to none, the way this movie is shot will result in your not being able to take your eyes off the film until the credits roll.

When I saw this movie in the theater I didn't know it was created to be one continuous shot. I was amazed by it! When this came out on disc I had to own it. The director's commentary and bonus features provide some insights into how they achieved some of the shots, which was fascinating to hear.

This film is pure genius and it does an amazing job of bringing WWI to life. You can't please everyone so I'm sure some will disagree, but for me it was the perfect balance of heroism, realism and a visually stunning tale of a time that was only 100 years ago, yet somehow feels like the distant past.

A must see. Great War time move with great cinematography, excellent editing, superb acting and an outstanding score. Not your typical war movie. It doesn’t have all the massive battle scenes you’ll see in others. This has a good story with really nice scenes shot. I enjoyed it and my dad enjoyed it.

Since the moment I saw the movie in theaters I knew I had to own it. Best Buy always knocks it out of the park with their Steelbook’s, and this one is no exception. Along with the movie working great, the condition and case looked PHENOMENAL. Definitely a must have for movie lovers and collectors alike!

Visually stunning! Academy recognition was well deserved. You are there and you'd better not blink or you might miss that busted metal heading straight for your face. So strap yourself in and enjoy the ride of your life! You just might forget that you are watching this from the safety of your couch!

A fascinating film about World War 1, and one of the last that I saw in theaters before COVID-19 shut many of them down. If you're looking for a rousing film about the greatness of war, then this is not the movie for you. This movie is about the brutality and pointless deaths of war.

Last movie I saw in theaters before the world closed. Would be sad if going to the movies is never the same, but wouldn’t be a bad last movie. So thrilling. Remarkable “one-shot” technique was never distracting and really served the purpose of making you feel like you’re there.

The cinematography on this film is incredible. The camera tells the story perfectly and fits hand in glove with the character's journey. This is the kind of movie you sit down and watch unfold before your eyes. You'll be swept away and heavily invested in the character's success.

I loved this movie...the cinematography was top notch, especially with those 1 continuous shots that go on forever which means the actors had to shoot their scenes without forgetting their spots or lines. Definitely must get in blu-ray!

1st and foremost just a great movie. I was looking for 4K content to demonstrate qualities of my home theater system and I was not disappointed with 1917. Visually captivating and powerful soundtrack that does not disappoint. If you want a good 4K experience that includes a great story...1917 is it!
