The reviews that say more style than substance are partially right. The story is a slice of life following some folks on a mission, but not grand plot aside, mostly action set pieces with cool camera tricks. War movie fans should enjoy it even if it covers some old territory a wee bit.

What can I say 1917 is one of a kind. I have never seen a movie like it. I don't want to give it away so trust me when you can sit back and watch it.

Bought this for the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The story is a moving rollercoaster with very little downtime. Sounded pretty good on the home theater setup.

I could for the obvious pun, of "run, don't walk" to see this movie...but I won't. Great story and beautifully done. Your sound system will get a workout here.

It took me a while to watch this dvd; but I was amazed with the story and the way they seamlessly edited it to make it look like one continuous shot.

Great movie. All shot on one camera reel is a great unique way to do this war movie. Also, bonus since it’s a World War I movie, which are lacking in quality movies.

Saw this movie in the theater. Had to have my own copy. Love the way the movie was filmed. Not normally a big fan of WW1 movies but this is an exception!

First saw this in Blu-Ray and was a favorite right away. Now in a great 4k Steelbook edition and you thought it couldn't get better, well we we're wrong.

A great WWI film, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and the storyline is fantastic

This movie is so good, I love how you get pulled into the action. Great story but also sad, not as good as saving private Ryan but still awesome. Highly recommended
