It took some rewatching to enjoy this movie, if expecting action from this don’t get this movie as it follows a character from starting to finish his objective. While this movie is not known for action, it’s story and emotion of the characters is shown what he is challenged by to go through. I will say this movies starts slow and will be like that the whole movie.

Fairly realistic depiction of WWI condition. Interesting!

1917 is a good movie, one of the best war movies on CD. So everyone should see this film because it is like the real thing

visually it looks great, that's about it. This film is filled with constant poor decision making of the characters. following a rat when rats are everywhere, why would you now? pulling a enemy out of a plane that ends up killing you, why would you do that? running through hundreds of troops when you can just run to the side of the line of troops, why would you do that? swimming over bodies of dead people trying to get to shore when literally there's everywhere else that's open and easy.. why would you do that?? this movie is filled with these dumb decision that make you hate this movie because anyone with a brain would know the triangle doesn't fit in the circle, yet this film constantly tries to put the triangle in the circle over and over. If you want to constantly yell at your TV for the idiotic decisions characters make in this movie this is the one for you. I'm not sure why the reviews say this is a great war movie, this is a 1 and done. this does not come close to Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers. The way it was filmed is something new and very good that's about it.

I thought the camera work was well done. The story dragged on too much in some areas and the ending was not anything special.

It's going to be Christmas present have not watch yet. Friend watch the movie in the theater and enjoyed the movie.

Originally brought the bluray version but this movie is amazing on 4K. Sounds better on the 4k version as well.
