Im reviewing the quality of the disc itself and not the movie. This is definitely worth the extra money for the 4K Ultra HD blu ray over the normal 1080p blu ray. Not only is the visual quality amazing with great HDR, but the Atmos track alone is worth. The mineshaft scene is demo material.

Without the stellar acting, amazing sets, and authentic costuming, you still have the most expertly filmed movie of the last 25 years. Stop watching superhero movies and upgrade your taste in movies. The 4k uhd looks and sounds great and the audio commentaries will answer your questions about how the cinematography was even possible. Get it.

1917 was one of my favorite movies of 2019. The photography technique for this movie is amazing and the production is top notch. The story and acting is also very good and I love the soundtrack. I wish Hollywood made more movies like this. The 4K transfer and audio production is one of the best I have seen in a movie. Highly recommended.

Best Buy Steelbooks are great for collectors like myself. The packaging of 1917 Steelbook is excellent, very elegant. The film itself is a marvel for the eyes and technical achievements. The film seems like one on going shot for almost the entire film. I dare the viewer to count the edit cuts. Regardless, the film stands up in story and design. A must see.

Filmed in almost one take! The movie is like if you filmed it on your own but obviously with a bigger budget! The movie has beautiful cinematography and great point of View of the characters. If you watch it once you probably not going to want to see it again due to way the movie is made. Either way, you Should watch it at least once!

I really enjoyed this unique World War I story I am glad I went for the 4K version as it really was beautiful. The film was shot in what appears to be one long continuous shot which I thought would grow tiresome, but it really gives the film a unique look. I really enjoyed the story and would recommend this movie to any film fan, not just war movie buffs.

We as citizens of each nation should feel lucky to be alive today. the sacrifices those men took to fight for every one's freedom was incredibly brave and unselfish. Cant imagine the fright those men must be in during the harsh times of human history. the scenery is also incredible. it is a must watch and appreciate the men and women that dawn the uniform.

This movie has almost no down time. It has great acting and the effects are spectacular. I especially like the feel of no cut scenes. There is only one in the whole movie. My only issue is the empty feeling I get watching it. It’s hard to describe by I don’t feel fulfilled by the ending. It didn’t stop me from seeing it twice in the theater and buying it.

Great movie for the 4K format. Picture quality is detailed and clean, and the cinematography is great. It’s like one long continuous take with no breaks. Excellent way to shoot this film. Audio was excellent as well. Height channels get some work and the bass is terrific

This film introduces a new way of filming with what appears to be continuous dialog. It almost loos like it is a continuous product from start to finish. It has a great story line, well acted and produced with believable characters. The Blu-ray set is a great deal with both a standard Blu-ray and a 4K Blu-ray.

This movie really came to life with my 4K player and my OLED and surround sound. Cinematically speaking, 1917 might be one of the best filmed movies, if not the best, that I have ever seen. It is done all in one take on a singular camera it seems and it is simply stunning -- I have never seen anything like it.

This movie is an intense depiction of WW1 and looks incredible in 4k. It's also convenient to have both digital and blu-ray options as I travel and would watch on either an ipad or portable blu-ray player. Best Buy makes it easy to order and provides quick delivery with tracking info. I would highly recommend this item.

I didn’t see this in the theaters but wish I did. It was fantastic seeing the cinematography and editing on my 70” Elite. The story telling and pace were good, with the only drawback being that as a viewer I didn’t feel any emotional connection with the main characters. A small negative to an overall fantastic film.

All I can say is that 1917 is a phenomenal movie as its own. But I will say it isn't that great of a prequel. I don't see how it connects with 2012 at all. Maybe the main guy is John Cussack's great grandpa or something. They should have made it more obvious how the films go together.

The one camera move thing in this movie is pretty rad. Well, it's rad for about 15 minutes and then you kinda forget about it. Unfortunately, in my opinion the movie itself is just sort of meh. Not enough character development to really care much about them. Check out Hacksaw Ridge if you wanna be blown away by a war movie. All that being said, this isn't a bad one or anything, it's worth watching, just not my favorite. Dude on the cover seemed to enjoy it tho, and I'm not on the cover...soooo make your own judgement call.

One of the few big blockbuster Hollywood films that I have seen that encapsulates the horror of World War 1. Perfectly filmed wide shots of the beautiful countryside. It's obvious that the filmmaker wanted to present with great detail the horrors of trench warfare which was done masterfully. Great story and acting. Highly recommended film!

I missed this one when it came out on IMAX. About 5 minutes into a RedBox rental, knew I had to purchase. Movie did receive Oscars, including cinematography. Great Story, Excellent Acting, Right there with Saving Private Ryan. Add this one to your 4K collection, Great Extras included on how they made this classic. No Disappointment here.
